Okay i allready wrote that in the "firefox issue?" thread, but i think it's a different problem, so i thought it might be okay to make an extra thread.

So i downloaded the demo a first time and after it was completly finished it said it couldn't open the source file.

So in my download folder there was a .exe file meant to be part of the process that unpacks the .part file the demo is based on and the part file.

Noobish as i am with PC, especaily windows 7, which i only have since a month now, i tried to delete both, but only the .part file was moved to the paperbin, the .exe file remains in the folder and can't be deleted as it says the windows explorer is currently using it.

So i restored the .part file and tried downloading the demo again, this time it had a (2) in the end of the name.
The demo this time downloaded and unpacked just fine. So after playing it, deleting the installer and trying to see if the problem happens more times, i downloaded the demo a third time (it was again labeled with a (2) at the end).

Then the message of being unable to find the source file happend again.

That's when i wrote my problem in the Firefox issue? thread. However some time afterwards i checked around on my firefox some more and accidently clicked on the download page and it started to download the third try again, however noticing that it didn't created a third bunch of files in the download folder, i let it be and afterwards the failed thir download was suddently fine.

Now however the first one isn't in my download window anymore. So i'm stuck with that .exe file i can't get rid of.

Is this a windows 7 problem or related to an issue with the demo's packing? I really have no clue and fear i'm damaging something on my PC's software by tinkering with it.

Further info, my PC is a 3ghz, Medion, with Windows 7 and a single 1TB hardrive. The .exe file is shown as being only 0 KB big, so in theory it shouldn't exist.
It's also not visible in the task-manger or any other tool that shows working programs.

If someone knows anything about this kind of problem please help, i have no clue how to get rid of that file and i don't want it stuck in my download folder until i wipe my harddrive.

PS: If no one can help me, please tell me a side or forum where i can find help for this issue.

might disappear on a restart/deleting firefox's temporary files. If not, there's deleting it in safe mode. Undeletable files can be a pain

Okay tried in safe mode, but it still says the file is currently used by the windows explorer. Also tried finding Firefox temporary files, but no such folder exist. If you meant the cache, then i emptied that aswell.

Still there, but thanks for the help.

Man this is the first time i encountered an undeletable file. Never happend on my old win 98 pc. Good to know that this seems to be a common problem.
