Waited with great anticipation for the demo, installed it and started it up. Only to have it completely shut down my computer during random gameplay after a few minutes. Nooo...! I spend entire last night, trying to make it run.
I have read the other comments about crashes during CC, but I can't even get that far.
I have tried to run it at lowest quality, turning off everything to no effect.
Tried running it in windowed mode. It still crashed it just took longer time to manifest itself.
I monitored cpu and gpu temp, cpu ran stable at around 60 degrees celcius, gpu at 50 degrees, so I don't belive heat is the issue.
I also tried playing ME2 for a good half hour, and that worked perfectly.
My setup is as follows:
PSU: Chieftec CFT-650-14CS
CPU: Core 2 Duo e6600 2.4ghz
Memory: 4 GB Corsair 800mhz Ram
Mainboard: Asus P5N-D w. nForce i750
GFX: MSI nVidia GTX560 TI OC FROZRII (running 266.66 reference drivers from nVidia)
Audio: Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme
Demo is installed on Intel X25 80 GB SSD
Suggestions, Ideas, Comments would be appreciated. I can't for the life of me figure out how the demo could shut down the entire computer!? Please help. I'd really like to complete the demo on PC, so that I can get the Razor for the main game.

Get rid of that terrible power supply. You are jeopardizing good components with a garbage brand of power supply. When you get that fixed, then we can discus anything else that may be wrong.

Oh I forgot, the computer is running Windows 7 64-bit. Also tried to run the demo with administrator rights, that didn't work either.

Gorath: I had thought that the PSU might be the problem, but that doesn't explain why the problem only exists in the DA2 demo, and not other games like Mass Effect 2, MoH or other games that I played recently!

It just never has any meaningful relationship trying to compare games with unlike gaming engines. None of those you mentioned had the engine from DAO in them. While I don't guarantee that this problem will go away when a known quality branded PSU is installed, at least I won't have to commiserate with you over the loss of a lot of valuable components.
