Can we please..PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD give up on this pointless crap about consol players.
I was a PC player, now im a consol player, does that suddenly mean i have regressed to the mentality of a 12 year old who is only interested in hack and slash?
To any PC player who holds a 'grudge' against consol players, let me help you here, the consol market OWNS the PC market, PCs are a marginal market at best, you probly represent 15% of the total gaming market if even that. Stop trying to blame everything you dont like on the MAJORITY of gamers who own consols.

No your post demonstrates that.

Aside from flames and trolls people have conducted themselves well and have enjoyed debating their views. Both sides so as OP I appreciate that.

I don't see any console bashing here myself. Most realise the audience of each platform is a generation thing, younger people (teens) are the majority of console, you cannot argue otherwise and it isn't an issue really.

I suppose this 'grudge' you speak of is largely a fallacy. As no doubts alot of people (as you point out) own both platforms.

It is quite legitimate and reasonable that fans want to criticize what audience Bioware are marketing their game towards.Wouldn't you agree ?

Nevertheless your statement is quite incorrect. You are speaking of genre and not of the whole. It is a fact that there are by far MORE PC gamers than all of console gamers.A little research would clear this up for you.

There are approx 500 million active PC gamers..all playing a diversity of games. There are not 500 million active console gamers my friend..or Bioware could retire tomorrow. These companies are after a slice of the market.Nobody would argue that teens tend to buy and trade in regularly ..it's rather obvious.

It may not apply to you, but looking at a few given threads a week would show anyone that there is a lot of bitterness from the PC camp towards the console camp.

There amy be more young people on consoles than PCs but you're overganeneralizing, (which the is the real logical fallacy here.)

Did you just make this account so you could flame DA2 you must have you don't have any games registed

Strangley No.

I made this account because I have an opinion to express and can see in this thread others share some affinity with that.

Flame ?  somewhat ironic.

Nobody needs question  your own participation which is not really needed or welcome.

What relevance is having games or lack of  registered to my account ? really ?

Tell you what though send a paypal payment to my account say £100 and I will screenshot my account with all my game details on...and keep your money if I demonstrate I have every single Bioware release.Posted Image

@ Zigzaggy

yet you set yourself up as "True Fan", making me, who sees most changes in DA2 as great... what? a console-kiddie? You ask people to respect your opinion but disrespect anyone who disagrees with you.

To me, the only thing DA:O was good for was the dialog, the story and the depth of the characters. The combat on DA:O was hideous to play.. it was so bland.. so boring.

What's changed in DA2?

More fun combat. It only seems a drastic change because DA:O was so dull. Has it went over the top? Possibly, but I'd sure as hell want over the top then the garbage DA:O had.

What else has changed? The Story has became worse? Impossible to judge. The character depth? Impossible to jduge. The dialog? Seems pretty much the same as DAO to me..

The only flaw I find wit this game that will by annoying is having Anders back. he was CRINGEWORTHY in Awakening.. I hope we can kill him off sooner rather then later.

I'm happy with the demo.. afterall, it's only a demo.

A message to all those commenting on the game not being as
challenging, or as tactical as DA:O. The demo was set to normal difficulty,
which is more attuned to the “get in there and get stuck in” style of gaming.
However this doesn’t mean that this is the only way to play the game. I seem to
recall in an interview with the developers (on the DA2 Site) that Dragon Age 2
"could be played in different ways dependant on the player’s preferences".
This means that for those who wish to be in the thick of the combat can play on
normal and enjoy that experience. However those who wanted more of a tactical
RPG, setting up traps, abilities and triggers etc..., can do that too. I think
the demo could have showed this better by maybe having the different difficulty
settings (Or at least two) available to give players the taste of both worlds.
However I see why they didn’t do this as the inventory and professions are
locked out. Plus you need more than 4 abilities play more tactically!

Those going on about the story not being interesting seem to
be oblivious to the fact that this is the demo. It's a snippet of things to
come! It's not necessarily the be all and end all of the game. I myself found
the demo gave the right amount of story away, while leaving players with a lot
of questions.

Keep in mind the first 30 minutes of dragon age origins was
a little slow, as the challenge of finding and recruiting from the different
factions hadn't come into the game yet. You can't tell anything from a 30-45
minute demo of a game, which is going to be about 25-30 hours long.

This statement was not meant to offend or
flame anyone but defend a game which I feel is being criticized before people
have even give it a chance.

Anyone who takes any more time to try and flame a game which is finished, on the fan-forums at this point is just trolling, be it their intention or not.
