Well, that depends on what sorting things out like men entails.

I'm not sure what you mean by "throw away so many things" what is missing exactly that you are upset about? I'm not trying to have an argument with you i'm simply having a discussion about your opinons and was curious what you feel is missing in DA II? I mean the pause and issue orders is there, the tactics, the inventory, the skill trees are different but still there. Not a lot a changed sure theres some differences but not enough to say they ripped everything out from Origins.
And since you didn't back up your claim that DAO sold more i see no reason for me to go digging around to look at the latest figures however. DAO had a VERY slow start with sales where as Mass Effect 2 sold 2 million copies in it's first week. Food for thought eh?
Apologies if I'm coming off as hostile.

Granted, ME2 hadn't been released on the PS3 yet but I believe that hasn't exactly been selling like hotcakes.
The inventory is there but no party armor? I understood the change in ME2 because you don't have direct control over your squad members. Yes, I know their appearance changes with time but why remove party customization in a party based rpg? The skill tree looks better but it's not a grand leap in an improvement. Why remove the isometric camera? Casting spells and arrows from afar is much more tedious this time around. No Friendly Fire until Nightmare difficulty is a huge step down. I don't like the wheel for DA:O. It 's dialogue handholding to me when the choices weren't that hard to make in Origins. The combat is sped up but the animations aren't quite there. In Origins, big weapons felt like they had weight but not now. The UI is dreadfully plain while Origins, not the most intuitive UI, had a sense of style to it. It looked like it belonged in the game. Now, I think it's very sterile and lacks any sort of character.
Aside from Flemeth (who's scene I very, very much enjoyed) the voice acting was a definite downgrade. There was very little sense of urgency when the Hawkes are fleeing for their lives. It seems like the cinematic style is being shoehorned in. Combat, stand around and talk, combat, stand around and talk.
Also, I brought a lot of negative feelings into the demo because of many pre-release happenings but no need to go into that though. I did enjoy moments of the combat but overall, I found it a bland experience.

Someone posts "I love this game" - no one moans
Someone posts "I hate this game" - OMG WTF STOP TROLLING AND START POSTING STUPID PICTURES.
I can fix this for you.
Someone posts "This demo has flaws, like it's annoying that you can't target specific enemies with a fireball anymore and the tears are missing and so is the first cutscene" - no one moans.
Someone posts "This game sucks because the writing is bad and the fighting was silly and it's not an RPG because it's not a carbon copy of DAO!" - *lol* Lameass Troll--who then replies with wails of, "Oh, so all you Bioware fanbois can't take it when someone pokes holes in your supposedly PERFECT game!" When, ironically, it's the "perfection" of DAO which its more fanatic supporters tout as causing the law that Bioware must never do anything new ever, just make lots of DAO expansions.
Like DAO better all you want, just don't expect us not to laugh if you can't state that opinion like a mature adult and must instead drastically exaggerate how good the first game is and how "terrible" the demo was or how it's "not an RPG" because it happens to be a little different from what you are used to or what you usually prefer.
This ^
DA2 is an improvement over DAO in every way, and it is most definitely not hack n' slash. It autoattacks, just like in the other Bio RPGS. You can pause it, just like DAO, you can even move your team around on console as opposed to only being able to move them without switching to them on PC. The later bosses will involve proper team placement, proper skill usage, and proper team build.
I can understand that you don't like the game.
I simply cannot understand how someone can worship DAO, and insult the hell out of DA2.

Old numbers, but most games are sold during their first months anyway:
Mass Effect 2 sold 1.6m until May 2010.
http://www.examiner....d-mass-effect-2
Dragon Age: Origins sold 3.2m until February 2010.

I was also told that there is an Auto attack for those who prefer not to "press a button". I would like to also bring up that ME a RPG, Oh and Boarder Lands is one too. RPG's come in many different forms. I do not see what is so different than what DAO offered. So what, instead of having my rouge auto attack back stab I have to do it manually. That doesn't strip it of its RPG elements. I'm sure harder difficulties will have friendly fire and everything. Keep positive people it was a demo. It's not the full game.

Bioware, Guilty as charged.
Writing was goddamn awefull and remedial.Who wrote this ? cannot have been DG.
Paraphrase wheel repeatedly removed you from the game, choice and dialogue was unrealistic tosh.
"Is that you Rebecca...it's me Chris". " I seem to be trapped...wait there "
Coupled with an almost feminine voiced Protaganist made the character very weak.Varrics Voice would have at least made the hero more plausible.
Fighting was a whole lot of sillyness.
Dragon Age 2 is so far removed from the original tactical rpg as to be not an rpg at all ..I was fully expecting Sonic to join in one of those attacks. On the subject of attacks a few simple strategic choices rendered any further interaction from you unwarranted. You could simply sit back , twiddle your thumbs and wait till for all the silly slashing and unrealistic prancing about to end .Then highlight another victim.
Overall the demo was a huge let down and can only assume it's intention was to present a hack n slash game to a 12 yr old audience.Though I think even they will quickly lose interest.
Quiet incredible considering how enthralling and well made Origins was.The worst game Bioware have ever presented to it's fans.I considered the Demo to be a chore rather than an experience. It was so weak and uninteresting.
I fully agree. Enough said.
