As a big dragon age fan i immediately downloaded the demo.
I can play it until i reach the character creation (i know it doesn't work in de demo)
i click on start game and then it will stop working :(
Anyone got  the same problem?
How do I get it to work?

Try disabling vsync.

As Wybble suggested, turn off Vsync and also do NOT use directX 11

Was having the same problem along with many others, if you turn off vsync and use directX9 under the video options then the demo will not crash on you.

You can find the main post here for crashing issues

Basic hardware rundown?  With OS version and SP level, plus driver numbers and dates for video at least.

When you start the launcher go to configure and set the video settings to this
Graphics: medium detail
Render: DX9
V-sync. off

Remember to update your graphic card drivers before hand also ...

Remember to save settings before leaving the configure screen ...

Vsync matches your monitors refresh rate/frequency, with a 3D applications frame rate.

In other words, It doesn't let your frame rate go above your monitirs refresh rate.

85 Hz. = 85 FPS
100 Hz. = 100 FPS
and so on.
