The one I downloaded yesterday was 0 bytes, I'm trying to delete it but it keeps saying '<compilcated name here> cannot be deleted because the file is open in another program, please close the program and try again'.
It ISN'T open in another program, I've checked through the processes tab of the task manager and no sign of a Dragon Age 2, the file size is again@ ZERO bytes and it has the default exe symbol. I've tried restarting the computer but the file STILL refuses to be deleted by claiming it's open in another program...
vista 32-bit.
I tried again today and I got a 1.8gb file instead, installed, runs and is deleted fine so why is this 0 byte file so stubborn?
Downloaded 0 bytes, file won't be deleted.

There are two ways to delete a stubborn file. Reboot and delete the file. If that doesn't work, you can also reboot in safe mode to delete the file.
Edit: And make sure you don't start anything after the reboot. Explorer is OK of course. There's a third method if the others don't work. If you are comfortable with a command prompt then use that to delete the file.

The file is meant to be the DA2 demo I downloaded yestersday, whenever I try to use it it says 'not a valid winvista32 application' or something like that. I tried the demo again today and I downloaded it, installed it, played it, uninstalled it just fine but this file with the same name but is 0 bytes in size STILL refuses to be deleted...

Tried but still says "Blah blah open in another program". Unlocker says the Windows explorer is using the file...Several times over (as in it shows the exact same lock path each time) I don't understand why the messed up demo download thinks it's being 'used'.
I tried 'Kill process' but that shut down the entire windows interface...
