i think the best way to describe DA2 now is to think of it kind of how you might the Watchmen movie.
yes its based on a comic but the story is mature and evolved, with characters that have emotions and opinions. and when you look at combat, think of it as a comic book page, its very stylized like a comic book illustration might be, a hit of a weapon spills gallons of blood, painting your characters and covering the ground. the animations are grounded but with an over the top arc.
think of a robert rodriguez movie or quentin tarantino flick. they have a sort of grounded story line with real characters inserted into a wild and stlyized world.
i just think that in the last 2-3 years games are really starting to live up the the expectations as being art and if thats the case, we need to see them with the same open mind that you may take to the movie theatres...
