I am not for sure, but Windows recently released an update having to do with Direct 3D on Windows 7 64-bit computers... not sure if this might have something to do with the crashes (if it does, this update might be a possible fix)

Maybe a Dev could tell us if Dragon Age 2 (at least the demo) might be affected? I don't know myself how the game works, just saw the part about programs crashing.
