I'd say your best option is to download it again and take any disc out just to be sure.

Are you running under DirectX 11? DX11 is not supported for the demo (it will be for the final game) and we've had reports of it not playing nice with certain types of removable media (thumb drives, etc).

Set it to DX9 and you should be fine. If not, then try removing any removable media. Thanks.

Sounds like a corrupted download (as Irvyn said). It's basically trying to say "I cannot read the file you downloaded" but since the 360 was developed just before the download game phase it's assuming what it's trying to access is a disc not a file.

Try deleting and downloading it again.

Did this download ever work?

I've had the same problem. I have tried to delete and download the demo again, but it still keeps saying disc is unreadable. I really want to play this demo. Is there anything I can do to get this demo working properly?

Wouldn't count on it on 360 I've uninstalled the demo 5x now, cleared the cache, redownloaded and the game itself still locks/freezes up in the first combat segment and requires the 360 to be rebooted. So as it is it seems some Xbox360 have problems with the demo while other ones do not, why this is the case is unclear but is pretty much making me consider dropping my 2 pre-orders of the CE edition due to very poor support similar to DA:O and most of it's bugs/glitches.

How old is your Xbox?

My original Xbox had serious issues dealing with playing games off the hard drive. Had disk read issues and the whole works.

If you do not own the 250 GB Xbox 360 I suggest you save up for one. Faster for downloads, built in wifi, and more memory is one hell of a deal.

On the PC, sometimes when I try to run the demo it stops and asks me to insert the disk, but the message goes away if I alt tab.

For me the xbox isn't even a year old granted it is a refurbished one and a 20 gig hdd as I don't really play that many games on the 360 now.

Sorry - I didn't catch the X360 in the title. I'll get this filed and looked at right away.

Thanks!

make some space (delete a few installed games) and redowload it. It happens when some of the space from the hard drive is corrupted. (the last 30 from my 250gb hd don't work for me)

Yeah, I've tried it several times, and nothing seems to work. Hopefully that will change, but I'll just have to wait and find out. Now hopefully this won't happen with the actual game itself

Tried again, and still nothing. I even tried deleting a bunch of data from my hard drive and redownload it, but that didn't help. I'm going to be really upset if I can't go through this demo and get that sword

From what we can tell you are experiencing a hardware issue, most likely with your hard drive or removeable storage device. Here is a link to Xbox Support http://support.xbox....contact-us.aspx

Yeah, I'm sure it was a hard drive issue. After I deleted files and got a new hard drive, I was able to play the demo without any issues. I'm really glad I was able to as well. The demo just reinforced my faith in the game, and I know it's going to be good
