At the end of the templar's nightmare area of the fade, I fought a battle and then it said there was a quest update. In it, it said that I reached a Templar Dreamer, but I was unfortunately unable to save him in time. I have no idea what that means, or where this so called Templar Dreamer was; I think I fought a Horror of some sort.
Does anyone have any insight into what that was?

Oh btw, it was right before the room that has "Templar's Body" in it. I wonder if this was what was intended (hence it being included on the map), or if there was a battle going on in the room behind me and I didn't know it? It's right before the final boss.

Well, since nobody's replied, I think I'll try to answer my own question. I believe that, since there are 5 areas to explore, but only 4 shapes to take on, it makes sense that there is a 5th area where the dreamer is dead.

The answer is the Templar Dreamer is the guy who gives you his wisdom. Then he dies just like the mage who gives you his strength, the templar who gives you Rhagos' power, and the mouse who gives you his mousieness.
Nobody to save, no way to change that part of the story.
