It appears to me; that in the Demo the Map looks all blocky and messed up. Between green pixels and the map seeming to overlap itself.

Is this an issue with the Demo? Or could by Drivers be outdated and not showing; or a DirectX issue?

I am having the same problem. Not sure why, and your the 1st person I have seen bring it up other than me, so I guess its not a common problem.

Just for the record, the above mini map glitch is the same on the larger map too.

(And on a related but not connected note, I have the EXACT same map glitch on the main map in RIFT, when I was in the Beta's - the mini map in Rift was fine, but the main map had the exact same glitch that is happening in the DA2 Demo. This makes me think its some kind of compatability problem with our system specs and those required for play.)

Granted; the game runs fine otherwise, it's just the maps for me.

Any word on whats causing this? Is it something that will be fixed for launch, or is it a problem at our end?

Radar jammer.

Maybe a bugged file...where did you download it from? Did you try reinstalling?

These might be part of the problem.  Both are old, low-end, and below the minimum system requirements.  Immunity from graphical glitches is not guaranteed if your system dips below the minimum.

Good stuff, thanks for the update too. I am sure your all crazy busy trying to get these things ironed out before we get our grubby hands on the finished game come street date, but the effort and communication is appreciated, even if the more...shall we say, "overly dramatic" fans make it seem otherwise at times.

Keep up the good work.

Yup. I'll be getting it either way. Hopefully there's a way to at-least turn off the in-game map if it's not an easy fix.

I'm having this same map problem -- my screen looks the same as Auora's posted above. And I also have an older graphics card below the system requirements (slightly below, it's not ancient). Would love to hear what Bioware determines about this. Really hoping I don't have to get a new card!

Thank you, Bioware, for looking into this!

I have this problem as well

2 GB RAM
E6550 Core 2 Duo
Radeon X1950XT
Windows XP

I doubt this is a video card issue as I am able to run DX9 on medium settings with zero lag, but I guess it could be a driver support issue.

I've got the same problem.

2 GB RAM
Radeon X1650 PRO
Win 7

Other than the map problems, I do get lag when going into somewhere like the Blooming Rose. I have to have the settings on low (DX9) or there's lag with conversations as well. I think I'll just get a new vid card D:

All of the cards listed in this post are below Min Spec. Unfortunately, this is not something we can support at this time.
