Trying different resolutions affects the text dimensions anyway...

I also dont have a HDTV my tv was made in the 90's. It still has a vhs player built into it. It probobly only has one resolution and is no more than 12 inches.
makes me wonder why, o why, your text is a bit small....

YES but I think it's due to the fact I don't have an HDTV.
Yeah, the problem of most text heavy games in this day and age, DA: O and ME 2 suffered from it too

Hopefully this is addressed in the final release.

Oh God, ME2 was a nightmare for me.. rented it, put the disc into the PS3, and the text was almost nonexistent. I'd find weapon or ship upgrades and I would have no clue what it is I improved

The text was just fine in DA:O, I don't understand why they reduced the size and have made the game pretty much exclusive to people with HDTVs or PC versions. They could lose a lot of money that way
I do not know anyone, and thats not exaggerated, who doesn't have a HD ready television. They don't make anything else anymore.

Plenty of people are still playing on SDTVs. Why suddenly narrow your audience when all you'd have to do is put in an option to increase font size, especially when your previous games have worked fine on all TVs? It's just sillyPurgatious wrote...

Edit: It's not like text should be what you need HD for, it's supposed to be for deeper graphics. That makes it rather funny that the only problem with playing on a lower quality display comes with the least graphics-intensive aspects of the game

I'm hoping and praying that this is just an issue with the demo.

Text was completely legible in SD in Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins (also -Awakening). Text was occasionally difficult to read, but still always legible in Mass Effect 2 in SD. Some of the text in the demo for DA2 last night was completely unreadable. Mostly it was just the loading screens that were impossible to read, but some of the dialogue required squinting.
I'm hoping and praying that this is just an issue with the demo.
Indeed. There should be a "Large Text" option in the final release for those of us who still use SDTVs.
