Actually, I dont think its a ring but rather it looks like a rogue's weapon.  This would also make sense in that they have released a staff and sword already (mage and warrior)

It's a ring, i've seen rings like that before... something like this http://2.bp.blogspot...00/P1140799.JPG but a bit different.

I live in the UK and there's no way I'm paying $20 just for shipping and delivery... does sound like an appealing item though

I agree with ofish, it is getting a bit over the top and Bioware you risk disenfranchising the very people who are loyal to you simply because they A) Can't afford all the extra stuff, B) live in countries like Australia where the shipping costs double the cost of the itmes. You just end up with pissed off people who cannot justify paying half the price of the game for a letter opener plus shipping and whom Pre-ordered the Signature Edition expecting it would be the total box and dice.

It's a promotion for a completely unnecessary item when you buy some completely unnecessary junk. No need to blow this out of proportion.

*sigh*

Gonna pass, thanks. Really, could we possibly stick to promotional stuff like the Staff of Parthalan and
Hindsight, where you have to sign up for a newsletter, the demo promotion and good ole fashioned DLCs?

My head is spinning from all of this bonus, extra, bonus, extra stuff floating round here. This IS getting a wee bit out of hand imo.

When people wish for the 'good ole days' when you just had to spend $30-$40 on DLC... LOL

In regards to the comment that these are just some little item and who cares about it etc.  The people who read and post on this forum are almost all big DA fans and big Bioware fans, and for alot of them when they really like something they like to know they have everything relating to it, like completing the set, or having the full experience. (not necessarily the items outside the game but the game itself.)
I agree with you that the items in question aren't really a big deal but it bugs some little part of me also that even thou I purchased the game over two months ago with the promise of getting all of the add-on stuff that Bioware is now trying to sell me a $40 coaster ;)
Anyways... I don't think Bioware would be doing this if it wasn't bought by EA.  This seems distinctly like the Dead Space 2 launch, and I can't wait for my Mass Effect 3 Happy Meal. :o mmmmm reverse chirality hamburgers

Hehe, I know...

In my day, there was no such thing as a DLC. When a game was released, it was released in it's entirety, perhaps followed by a patch or so.  None of that additional content being released within a few weeks of the game's release.

Bah... listen to me. And I'm not even 30 yet! :P

I'm usually only a handmade jewelry person, but some of the pendant designs are appealing.  If it turns out to be too gaudy I'll turn it into an awesome keychain.

Totally digging the coasters though for some reason. :D

I think this is getting a little ridiculous. How long before they partner with target and amazon? I can see it now. Buy a 24 pack of toilet paper and get this shiny new DLC ring!! Buy a book online from amazon and by god you will get a book in game. Just please stop this. I would rather have it offered for a flat cash amount then have to buy stuff I really don't need or want to have the full game experience. By the time we get to DA3 we will have our happy meals with DA3 dlc codes as someone mentioned. Dam you EA for making bioware do this junk.

I'll pass. I'm willing to shell out around fifteen bucks for an interesting and content-filled DLC pack, but I'm not going to pay that amount (if not more) just for the sake of a single DLC ring of mysterious properties.

Wow... How incredibly cheap and tacky... Last time I'd have considered spending $350 on a sword that looked like that would have been when I was 12 or 13 years old. :)  (not that I had the ability to pay for one, or parents dumb enough to do so...)

I'm fairly certain no-one expects you to actually play with the weapons.
They're not toys, otherwise they'd be plastic, not steel.

It's for people who enjoy collecting said items or are huge fans. They're for display purposes.

I rather have the coasters as the pendants personally I think they pop more and you can see more detail. I would have bought one if they had done that. Even then though the one thing I want really bad, the staffsword, is out of my price range sadly and even then I don't think I would pay that much for it. It looks chalky, they could have done different coloring for it. But, hey, that's just my thoughts.

For 400 bucks you gotta be a huge nerd to buy a replicated sword from a video game.

D: I didn't think to add the ring of whisper thing to my cart before I checked out, and now I'm freaking out a bit. I hope I didn't have to add it. ;__; I'll call in the morning to make sure.

*coughs* :x I got a pendent and to put it over 15, I added a stand.

You can set your "own price" for the in game item with a minimum of 1 dollar, but then they charge you $10 for shipping on a digital item?
