I'd rather there was a new protoganist, wether set of species or not. I'm happy they didn't decide to make the world revolve around the Warden alone.

Considering how much they (Bioware) are pushing Hawke, it seems likely to me that s/he will be in DAII.

I think we should have the Origin stories again, but with a different protagonist. All voiced. Male/female human, elf, dwarf and QUNARI.

Imagine that.

I would honestly prefer Hawke to be in DA3. It seems like DA2 is setting up for a larger story, that will either be concluded in DA3, or maybe some kind of trilogy that the ME games have going on.

I can't say I'm a fan of the idea of the Warden coming back. It just feels like after having done Witch Hunt/Awakening that that story is complete.

i want them to do what Golden Sun did. New character, meet up with Hawke later on, merge teams and control both party leaders

I'd also want a return of the Warden (and Morrigan, of course :P ).
Heck, if they have to voice him/her, as a condition for returning, I'd give in to that 'compromise' just to see the Warden back. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

I don't think I'll mind seeing Hawke in the 3rd game (well, not at the moment anyway...I mean, I don't know much about the character yet, after all), but I'd rather a return of my Warden.

Better (but more expensive?) option: a choice between Hawke (in case I end up liking the character) or the Warden (either from Ferelden or Orlais), and a 3rd protagonist.

It would Make sense, Cassandra is looking For Hawke and Cassandra and Varric are said to play major roles in DA3 I can easily see Hawke coming back as the Playable Character or Major Character.

Dragon Age III should have the Warden and Hawke on opposite sides of the battlefield in a ridiculously awesome war. The game ends in an all out brawl between the two parties in a volcano. Preferably with fireworks going off in the distance.

DA 3 will feature "Wolf" as the protaganist. He will become the Savior of Moonray Market. Wolf is the stockboy/stockgirl of this small backwoods market and must figure out how to keep the market stocked during the Blight. You will make jaunts to local farms to bring back peas, carrots, and other goods. You will travel to Farmer Brown's Dairy to retrieve milk and cheese. You will be Savior of Moonray Market!

In line with the continued "streamlining" of the game there will be a single character class, warrior. You will have several weapons to chose from, a two handed shovel, a slingshot, or a box knife.

Hawke being in DA3 would be cool but I doubt it. Though I don't want origins back either [as it never really made much of a difference in the storyline] or the warden to come back since for me at least her story is over.

I think it's very likely that we'll see Hawke again in the next game. After all, Cassandra is obviously searching for the Champion because she wants him/her to do something, while DA II may only cover Varric telling Hawke's past to Cassandra. This heavily implies that Hawke will have a destiny ahead of him/her in the future (unless we find out at the end that Hawke's already dead).

However, this might be covered by DLC or an expansion, which would make room for a new protagonist in DA III.

I really doubt we'll see the Warden again, though. He couldn't be a voiced dialogue wheel character, after all...

You say that, but they can do what they want and if they wanted to bring the Warden back and voice him/her, hell I would be happy with it and I would have the main PC that got the shaft, back and where he/she should be, When playing the Demo of DA2 it just hollow felling, being forced to play a new main character just to carry over the story and  to me this about Hawke seems like some side story, like a better DLC content that should not have been DA 2, it seems to have nothing to do with DAO and the stories that  are left off.   I do like the rogue character alot better and that seems to be the best part of the game, the action is good and more on key, just don't feel the same way, a few reasons, no Warden, Morrigan, or any of the other characters from DAO. I just feel like it's a bunch of knock off guys trying to pull off what the story and characters in DAOs did, will have to take a wait and see but not real into it yet.

Don't let yourself emotionally bond with player character. Just kill Hawke at the end of game ( there's possibility Hawke could be dead already ). It'll be much easier to forget Hawke and The Warden to start a new character in DA3.

Why else would they make a whole game explaining why Hawke is so important? When you think about it, DA2 is one big origins story.

I really hope not. Nothing against Hawke as a character, just the principle of the thing. It would be clumsy to have the first game and the second game be about completely different stories only to have the third game be an extension of the story of the second.

By all means DA3 should be influenced by both Orgins and DA:2. Let it refer back to Hawke. But for the sake of consistency I hope that it is also about an entirely new character and his/her own story, lest the cries of "Dragon Effect" start up again.

*cough*Assassin'sCreedBrotherhood*cough*

In all seriousness though, I agree. The idea of Thedas being the thread that joins every game in the series together has kind of grown on me.

I'd like there to at least be 1 or 2 "default" origins in DA3 (for some racial diversity), with an optional OGB origin for those who did the Dark Ritual in the first one...

they can all have the same voice actor for all I care.

I'd like a new character for each game. DA3 can have references to the Warden and Hawke, but I'm pretty certain that a lot of people will be satisfied with the endings for their characters, and not want to drag them out on another epic quest.

Oh, and I'd like the option to play as another race in DA3. Just sayin'. :)
