This is very annoying, because it interrupts both the intro and cutscenes with repeating loud sounds. Wondering if anyone can help.

If you are getting the cutscenes pausing and seeing small loading letters for a few seconds before the game resumes then it's the Vsync. Disable it and it'll make the game run smoothly.

I'm getting this something chronic but disabling v-sync had zero effect.

No, its not a loading issue though i will try disabling V-Sync.

What it is specifically is the sound suddenly repeating, it isn't the normal sound and it can mess up the cut scenes awfully. Imagine hearing some loud jarring sound repeat constantly while being forced to read subtitles to even understand what is happening and you have my problem. =(

EDIT: Man it seems like disabling V-Sync just made it worse, though I could just be unlucky. Either way it didnt work for me. Maybe I just need to upgrade though I am within the minimum requirements.

I had the same trouble with sound when I tried to fix Core2Duo AMD proc bug (whole game running too fast) in DA2 demo. I had the same trouble with game speed in original DA, but there weren't any sound glitches.

Long story short, I found another way to handle with Core2Duo bug by using the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4 (http://support.amd.c...342f&ItemID=153), and with that I got normal speed and no sound stuttering, maybe it'd help you too.

Disabling AA seemed to help a lot for me
