Aveline - so strong yet gentle. Can't wait to discover more of her personality. She's going to have a permanent place in my party methinks

Maybe I'll warm up to Bethany.
I thought the whole Isabela freeing slaves thing was a bit cliched and unimaginative.

Didn't give a rat's arse about anyone else, and that's despite feeling an instant "family bond" with the Couslands and a "brother-in-arms bond" with Gorim in the Origins. It's probably because you can't really talk to anyone. Run fight run fight run fight oh someone died who cares run fight ...

remember it is a demo they had to make it intersting and exciting there for there would not be those happy feelings we got at the start of DAO.

I can't like Flemeth cause i see her as the main villain of the Dragon Age series, but she is the most interesting character of the series, alongside Morrigan.

Maybe Varric? I hope the elven party members have a little more personality.

Still, if I ever get the chance to kill her, I'm taking it.

A demo should be interesting yes, and capture the essence of the game. But IMO this one fails horribly at that. 99% repetetive combat with barely any skills to use isn't interesting, it's ridiculously boring. Everything there is to see about combat, you can cover in a minute or three. Character and world building should have played a bigger role. And instead of more repetetive combat plus hooter-oogling in part two, we could have used a look at how Kirkwall works as a base, how and where the characters live, who the movers and shakers are, what kind of choices we can make, that sort of thing.
It's almost impossible to care about characters, setting and story if what little we get to see of them is drowned in bazillion gallons of faceless monster gore.

This. I could care less about combat. I play for story and dialog.
If Bioware wanted us to care about characters dying, they should've done a better job of introducing them to us.
Within the first cutscene with Aveline I could tell what she was about. Carver and Bethany, however, just seem like "those guys" even though Hawke spent his/her entire life with them.

Quite, that said Varric, Cassandra and Flemeth impressed me the most, they outshone the other VA's in my opinon.
