Cassandra, definitely. Before the demo I had always thought she looked like someone I would just hate completely. ...then she made puppy god eyes at Varric and she became one of my favorites. I was totally not expecting to like her as much as I do, but there you go.
Speaking of which, Varric's awesome too. I love Cassandra and Varric's interactions, and Varric seems like a cool/funny guy on his own.

Carver's my favorite of the siblings. I like how he's more of a rival but not in a bad way. He's not afraid to voice concerns and he has a sense of humor, too. I like Bethany, too, but her personality's kind of overshadowed by the others' (at least in the demo.) 

Isabela I liked, but only because I can tell there's more to her than meets the eye, and she's already quite the eye full.
I feel the same about Aveline, but for completely different reasons.

Before the demo, I knew Varric would be my favorite character. Hell, during the demo I just controlled him in the combat sequences towards the conclusion. And it was awesome. After playing the demo, a tie has been established between Varric and Cassandra. I can't wait to see more of her bad-assery.

Carver. Wish I could be a warrior hacking and slashing with my bro, but alas in order to ride with Carver Biowares making me be a mage. Damn.

Carver and Aveline. Thing is, I always play as a S&S warrior, so that's not good for Carver. On the other hand, I didn't like the combat at all, so if I'm not going to like combat, maybe I should not like combat as a mage.

Aveline wins, though probably only because she doesn't get auto-leveled during the transition, which means I'm not forced to dump points into strength (unlike Warrior Hawke). Hurrah for cunning.

I did like Cassandra a lot, she was quite cool with a very unique voice. Varric's voice was good too, its nice to hear a regular voice when everybody else is speaking with a super-heavy British accent. I liked Bethany, she seemed pretty nice and cool. Of course Isabella was quite attractive, as well as very unique and interesting. I didn't care for Carver, he was about what I expected, sadly. It seems incredibly odd that mother Cousland is now mother Hawke, I don't know what to make of that . So overall I'd say Cassandra, Isabella, and Bethany are my favorites from the Demo. Still looking forward to meeting Merrill, and hopefully she will go to the top of the list once I do .
