I would cancel my pre-order just to pre-order it again to emphasize the awesome I have just witnessed, but then I would lose my signature edition!

I am really happy with the gameplay, I feel though it is faster it is a LOT more interesting and fluid then the fighting in the first one. It reminds me a bit of combo moves and such from Soul Calibur IV which is awesome to me. Never really had a problem with the wheel in Mass Effect 2, but I will be doing a lot of saving and loading to see all the different bits of dialogue for Hawke.

lol!!! I am sad I don't have a signature edition, just because I was stubborn. Lesson learned!

So the poll doesn't actually represent the vocal voice we hear around. Well for a good reason...

...

You mean the person saying that she loves it so much she wishes she could pre-order it again?

What, are you trying to stretch for any reason you can think of to justify your dislike of DAII, and insist that everyone else must dislike it too? You have no leg to stand on if you're buying the game anyway. So what if it comes with free DLC? If you don't like it, it's still a waste of sixty bucks.

People pre-order long before the demo when the anticipation is high. What if the demo comes first before pre order? Do you think it'll be the same?

Now now don't get too emotional. It's unhealthy.

DA 2 has the EA taint. It is too bad Bioware sold to EA. The cut scenes need more feeling to them. Alas EA will eventually ruin another excellent developer.

Absolutely. If you don't want that game, cancel your pre-order. After all, you're spending money on something you profess to hate.

But, I can tell that it really grinds your gears to think that people might actually like DAII. So you need to search for any reason you can think of for why it's not as popular as it looks. Because you just need that sense of justification, huh?

Really? Well can you tell me if EA even makes the game? Cause if I remember the developer made it and does what it wants with on what they feel will be good. If you want to hate any publisher hate Activision =]

Only thing EA does is market the game and fund it as well as publish it.

What people might actually like will not be shown in DA2 and yes you can base all your faulty reason from there mainly because DA2 rely on Origin and Mass Effect 2 popularity. I'm pretty sure DA2 going to be successful. It's not great but it's good, as some previewers noted. But when DA3 comes next, DA2 will have to stands on its own merit. From there we'll see how well DA2 can influence DA3. I'll bet you won't hear strong vocal voice anymore because there aren't many left.

And it's all because of people like you.

That doesn't change the fact that the great majority of people are buying it, when they have every ability not to. You're like those people that desperately tries to claim ME2 wasn't really that popular, it was just buying off of ME2's good graces, despite consumer and critical reviews.

wow... guess the complainers are the loud ones. From what I saw yesterday, you would think that EVERYONE hated DAII.

That said, I will NOT be judging this game until I played through the harder difficulties. As the dev said normal has become easier and nightmare harder. If that's true, then the Bioware will then haven done the impossible in appealing to BOTH hardcore and casual gamers. ;)

The "vocal minority" stereotype exists for a reason. Folks are much less likely to voice their pleasure with something. They're more likely going to be playing and enjoying the experience, or simply posting once and then leaving. Someone with criticisms is going to vent those more consistently until they get some justification or response.

You also have to take into account what a small fraction of players it is that voted in the poll in comparison to how many people have downloaded the demo. Forum communities are really, really small sample sizes of the total playerbase for any game.

Those people already pre-order months before Demo. They also wants their signature edition. How the heck they know it's going to be like this?

That's weird. I thought it's popular.

Selling quantity is meaningless if people don't like it. There're over 3 million people who bought Origins and even from official forum you can't expect a high 85% and above majority? There's definitely somthing wrong with the picture and I'm glad Bioware take notes of that with their Demo feedback thread.

I'll see if I can't dig up the quote by Gaider that the majority of people who bought DA:O didn't even finish the game.

Ive read probbaly if not read all the 160+ pages of the feedback (was really bored)  and could see that most liked the

demo aside from the purists and the trolls both of which were pretty loud. Nothing wrong with
hating the game though I dont expect everyone to like it... :?

Because it's a demo, and this is to give you an idea of what it's like.

That's weird. I thought it's popular.

I don't know if you noticed, but people "don't like" ME2 on these boards either, if you're going by the naysayers and vocal opinion. ME2 wasn't that good of a game either, if you're going by the polls.

Forgive me if I'm ignorant about Mass Effect 2. I bought it and I only play it once. It's not my type of game. So I didn't bother to find out more. After all I'm not going to buy Mass Effect 3. But thanks for the info. I'll look into it to find out what's wrong with Mass Effect 2.

Thanks again.

If it sells well, companies make money. So yes, actually, sales are a little more important than an individual player's feelings. You're oversimplifying a very complex relationship between the consumer and the creator.
