The sims 1 = 16 million copies.
The Sims 2 = 13 million copies
The Sims 3 =  3.7 million copies

The sims 1 = 16 million copies.
The Sims 2 = 13 million copies
The Sims 3 =  Not listed among the best selling PC games.

You realize 1 and 2 are years and years older, right? With more expansions?

EDIT: And the data you listed is a year and a half old, and posted two months after the game came out.

Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source. One day, my friends and I were really bored, so we edited a bunch of Wikipedia articles with misinformation. Some of those changes still exist today.

Yet the more advance and improve The Sim 3 fall low to 3.7 millions copies? Hmmm,,,
Something is wrong?

They certainly look correct with Dragon Age origin 3.2 million copies. Well of course we know it's should be more than that by now.

Expansion is not an argument here. We are dealing with sales figure.

How do expansions not figure into sales? They were sold, right?

You are taking information that is a year and a half old, that was given to use two months after the game was released.

That is incredibly biased numbers you have.

And I thought you're more interested on the gaming reality ?

Then let's calculate how long it's take for The Sim 3, 3.7 million copies to rise to 16 million copies? 100 years?

I'm interested in reality.

And the reality is that sales equals money, which makes industry go 'round. Not Good Feelings and Happy Thoughts.

Your initial argument was that sales are meaningless. When that's how more games get made.

Of course, this would all go smoother if you would stop responding to us with your version of what we wrote. Otherwise, I have no interest in continuing this facade with you.

Really?

You really want to?

It won't end well for you.

Okay...over two months, it sold 3.7 million copies. Half (for one month) is 1.85. It has been twenty months since it was released. 1.85(19) is...35.15.

So, according to your own logic, it's already outsold Sims 1 and 2.

Is this accurate sales figures? Not at all. But you wanted to play the game.

EDIT: Oh, and for perspective, 3.7 is more than both the PS3 and 360 versions of DAII sold, as of right now.

So which one are you? The industry or the gamer?
Do you represent the industry or the interest of player?

What does the "interest of the player" have to do with how much money a game makes, besides the fact that they bought it? In fact, what does this even have to do with Dragon Age 2, or its demo?

Here allow me to link you 2010 best selling video games of the year.
http://n4g.com/news/...o-games-of-2010

The Sim 3 isn't listed there. Hmmm doesn't look like it sold 1.85 million copies per half month anymore. You are right, the sale figure is inaccurate. So do you still believe it will outsold sims 1 and 2?  Most important question is do you believe upcoming DA3 will outsold DA2?

I don't know about you but it's look doubtful.

The real question is what does that have to do with you backing them blindly?
Why do you care if this player express their displeasure with the game? I don't see you're helping fellow player here.

1. You listed sales for 2010. Sims 3 was released 2009.
2. It doesn't list PC games anyway, as well as only listing US sales figures.
3. Sims 1 has been out eleven years. Sims 2 has been out for seven.
4. It's not about outselling now, because it's been out for only a year and a half. It's that it is doing just as well--if not better--comparitively.

Most important question is do you believe upcoming DA3 will outsold DA2?

This isn't, and has never been, the point. Neither you nor I could prove it. We are talking about DAII.

Yes I agree. The Sim 3 sucks and it's EA fault + it's hardcore fan who refuse to listen to any complaint.

So next time, when people say the game sucks, listen carefully to them. We already see 95% of dead games all over the world because everyone seem to think the game is too perfect to complaint. Hopefully DA2 learn something from this. Bioware willingness to listen to their fan as shown in Demo feedback thread is very positive sign, imo.
