The beginning show a different version of the escape from Lothering then the demo had. Also it show Carver with Warrior Hawke in the end. Is this the true version of the game and the things in the demo being old or is it just marketing making a "cool" trailer that does not show the real game?

I would really like to hear a dev say something about this.:)

I'm not talking about cannon, I'm talking about events. What we se in the trailer is not possible in the demo.

Probably marketing. Old version perhaps.

Though I wouldn't rule out that being the true version..

Demo is old, months old, actually. A dev mentioned that in one of the demo threads. That said, we'll have to wait and see.

That sibling death scene's 10 times better than the one in the demo.

Please let that be the final version.

The Arishok is also in Lothering. Yeah, none of this is part of the real game.

No, I think that was just put in there to show who the bad guy is and had nothing to do with Lothering.

But it was in Lothering. Look at the backround. Unless it's some sort of Fade dream, that's definitely not in the game. The dragon was not Flemeth, either.

It's nothing more than a promotional trailer.

Hawke falling on their knees in despair. . .DX Bioware you needed to keep that in the main game.

The Arishok scenes aren't from Lothering. Look at the surroundings (Kirkwall and what looks like a forest).
Also, Hawke is wearing armor in those scenes.

The only backround you se on the one Qunari is a blue sky and a mountain top.

How do you know the dragon was not Flemeth?

I sincerely hope that video is showing off the actual sibling death cause really? How damn sociopathic do you have to be to say "Welp! Atleast dad will have some company now" after your sibling dies?

It was a contrasting shot. It contrasted Hawke facing off against the Darkspawn and the Ogre in his escape from Lothering with the Qunari and the Arishok, in I have no idea where, but it wasn't Lothering. Basically you show a shot from the beginning of the journey and then you contrast it with a shot at the end. It's a basic cinematic technique.

Anyways, what we DID see of the Lothering escape in that video was far more epic/emotional looking that what we saw in the demo. It would be very neat if the demo they gave us was an old build so that we're not all bored to death from the first 10 minutes of gameplay when we get our hands on the actual game. At the very least, it'd have been a smart decision on their part.

Here's hoping.

No. He's in Lothering, too. At 0:05.

And that's not what Flemeth's dragon form looks like. She's doesn't look like a regular high dragon.

The qunari wasn't in Lothering. This was talked about in another thread. If you look closely, you can see that Hawke is mourning Beth in his refugee outfit. Then it switches to him looking at the qunari, and then the NEXT scene is the ogre battle. After that it transitions to a completely different area (I mean, I'm pretty sure I saw hints of green vegetation in the background), ultimately ending in Kirkwall.

It seems to me at least that it's a montage of various events in Hawke's life and is probably for marketing purposes. However, who knows, maybe all those things are in the game. The Beth/Hawke scene could have been from one of Varric's exaggerated tales or something.

Maybe it is some fade thing or some flash back where his guilt over the inability to protect his younger sibling is reflected or something.

In the cut scene he isn't even armored or armed.  Which cannot be possible in the Prologue - I don't think anyone in that setting can beat a ogre and hordes of dark spawns unarmored as well as unarmed.
