That sibling death scene's 10 times better than the one in the demo.

Please let that be the final version.

In the cut scene he isn't even armored or armed.  Which cannot be possible in the Prologue - I don't think anyone in that setting can beat a ogre and hordes of dark spawns unarmored as well as unarmed.

I actually wonder more and more if the demo they gave us was BS. ;p

This would be wicked funny on release day.

It's a premade trailer made on the game engine. But it's not actual gameplay.

One, Flemeth flying over the scene in that moment would make no sense, Hawke lifting weapon from his fallen sibling, yeah, sure, with class restricted weapons. Darkspawn flying off, unless they added the whole new physics engine to the final release it's premade animation... just... god, it's obvious. I'm amazed how you guys can actualy even consider it being gameplay.

This trailer is exactly 30 seconds long.. will this be a TV commercial perhaps?

I'm curious who would those soldiers that stand behind Hawke be when they prepare to charge on Qunari. They don't have templar armor so it seems common city guards. Toss in the equation the fact that we see in one of the trailers the Chantry church on fire and we may be up for quite a spectacular Qunari attack.^_^

Jesus, you're impossible. It's Lothering, get over it.

I don't think it's Lothering based on a rigorous examination of the video, you can clearly see the stonework behind the Qunari in the earliest few frames of the shot in question and it is not representative of any architecture seen in Lothering. It's a very simple bit of editing and it has confused you completely. I also happen think you're an arrogant nitwit for being so rudely insistent about this.  But we'll both get to find out for sure quite soon, won't we?

March 8th (11th in Europe)

Shut one's eyes tight or open one's arms wide; either way, one's a fool.

It won't be in the game. So we won't find out. This is just a cinematic trailer that has nothing to do with the real game's story.

It is the Blightlands. The color of the sky is exactly the same. Lothering is burning in the backround. The few textures that are there right before the camera zooms in on the Arishock are recognizable I see the Blightland cliff edge texture in the corner. A brown Blightland hill next to the Arishok's shoulder. It's extremely obvious and I just find it boggling how people seem to think it's somewhere else.

The Arishok is then next seen in another location after Hawke has his moments with the darkspawn. Probably in the Sundermount forest. Then in Kirkwall.

DID YOU SEE EPIC TEMPLAR GUY HELPING HAWKE!? I TOLD YOU HE WAS IMPORTANT!

Edit:

I think I saw Epic Templar Guy unmasked and he was standing behind Hawke with his arms crossed while Hawke attacked the templars. Epic Templar Guy is so epic that he doesn't even fight. He just stands there with his arms crossed.

Demo is as old as Flemeth.

Trailer is as new as the OGB.

And I really like Hawke showing some emotion over his/her sibling's death... It felt weird being more emotive over a templar's whom you just met and also threatened your sister...

That death scene was way better than the one in the demo! Now that's emotional!

That being said, I still liked the demo ;)

hmm perhaps they changed it a bit so the top option makes you become overcome with greif, the bottem option you tell your mother to calm down punch her in the face and take her over your shoulder and the middle option is to start dancing upon your brothers corpse.... all 3 of those would fit the overacting bill perfectly

Oh that's marketing. No question. It's just an in-game version of the Sacred Ashes trailer. :P

Now it would be hilarious if Hawke finds another "sacred ash" urn :)

I think the footage has been extremely spliced together with earlier work.

It looks like Hawke might have been escaping with other people besides his own family.

Lol! You really have an obsession, don't you?

OnT: Even though the demo is old, and it would be sweet to have a completely new experience when playing the full game for the first time, I have a hard time believing they completely changed the beginning. Most likely it's a Fade sequence. Notice the Staff of Parthalan he is holding. We don't get that until we arrive at Kirkwall.

It just depends really, I mean we saw Battle of Ostagar like six months before release, and it never changed. This is a much shorter development time so it could of. I hope some of that is in game, it just seems more epic. Still I don't know if it will be, I just hope it is.
