Why the hell is there a cooldown time for healing potions? It's slow as hell and effects ALL characters at the same time? What the hell is this?

because in origins you could just chain pot use and it was WAY to easy. I like this :| makes you actually use healers on harder difficulties.

Devs stated that you shouldn't rely on your mages for healing.

Except the heal spell has a cool down of a minute. Literally, 60 Seconds. That is almost one heal for every TWO encounters. Potion cooldowns need to be quicker or tied to the character that used them and not shared between all 4 characters at once. It's borderline immersion breaking.

Hawke: "I'm getting hit pretty hard!" *downs a potion*

Bethany: "OH GOD! The darkspawn have surrounded me, they're everywhere! I need to heal."

H: "You can't. I already used one. They're mine, not yours."

B: "But th..."

H: "MINE!"

B: *dies*

I hadn't realized the quick heal cooldown was shared by the party. I thought a quick heal cooldown was ridiculous to begin with, but this, this is just uncalled for.

So if I get into a tight spot and the entire party is KO'd save for a non-magic user I can only use one potion every 60 seconds? Who at BioWare thought that was a good idea? It's ludicrous!

I noticed that when I played as Mage!Lady Hawke. My party nearly got clobbered by the first orge after I needed Carver to down a potion and Hawke to Heal Aveline. 'Twas quite annoying.

Summed with low number (and effectiveness) of magical buffs, support ("white") mages are pretty much infeasible now. Damage/debuff all the way.
