I was able to go medium in Dragon Age: Origins without much trouble, and when i ran II it would lag unless it was Low. I will post my specs
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 810 Processor
RAM: 7.7 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4200
Free Disk Space: 585.0 GB
Any help would be appriciated, like any ideas for a new video card, which ill probably need. Thing that stinks is i pre-ordered the Signature Edition for the PC, and if I cant run it as least on a medium without it lagging, I would probably tell gamestop that they put me for PC when i asked for Xbox. I really dont want it to come down to that, because of having my save files for Origins on PC.
Can anyone help me with making my game go higher then low without lagging.

As you say a new video card, this will help a lot. Your CPU is OK.
If you're on a budget I'd suggest getting a HD 6850 (they're not too expensive) For reference I have a HD 4850 and run an average of 75 fps in Medium (DX9) and around 65 fps in Medium (DX11). High quality in DX11 make my fps drop to 35 average though. With the 6850 it should be much better than that.

Anything good for maybe up to $ 100 ?
I really dont want to spend that much just to enjoy the game, you know ?
I might have to trick gamestop even though ill feel bad about it.

Yeah, the video card is your bottleneck. (After all, it's not even a card, just an integrated on-board chip.)
As far as Radeons go, the 5670 is the lower end of what you'd want to look at. And if you were okay with the framerate playing DAO with a 4200, a 5670 might well be all you'd need. (The 5670 has the virtue of not needing any extra PCI-E power cables, plugged in, too, if that might be an issue.)
Above that in price and performance, the 5700s are well respected. And above those, there are the 5800s and 6800s.
Of course, once you start looking at the 5700s and above, I believe Nvidia has some decent cards too, like the 450, 460, and 560.

For ~$80, go for a Radeon 5670.
For ~$110-$120, you could get either a Radeon 5750 or a GTS 450.

I was going to say that either a 5750 or a GTS 450... Below that it's not even worth it. The 5750 has about the same performances than a 4850.

Keep in mind the 4200 probably never got stellar frame rates, either. Everyone has their own standard for minimum frame rate, and TYSPLOSION's may not be as demanding as yours.
Speaking of which, what resolution are you playing at, TYSPLOSION? That can really make or break a card.

You make a good point. Generally I go for the mid-way solution. And I play at 1920x1080. It's true that the resolution is important.

hmmm let me check quick, i noticed when i first played the demo all the buttons for like main menu, and inventory ect. were like half cut out. I think i made it look better from what i picked.
1024 X 768
Also, i appriciate that you guys for helping me, i go to a GameFaqs board and all the posts are about complaining about the demo. I mean i liked it even on the Xbox even though ive never played it on there before, i just want to keep my saves from the 1st one, and pressing A over and over is weird...

1024 x 768 isn't a very high resolution these days. I'd stick with something cheap like the 5670. That should be right up your alley.

Any full name for that ?
I typed it in Best buy and there is one for 99 and one for 150

It will probably be listed as something like ATI Radeon 5670. Possibly AMD Radeon 5670, as ATI was bought out by AMD. (And there will also be a further brand name attached, like "XFX" or "Asus." AMD makes the chips, but there are a variety of companies that distribute the complete cards.) For a search term, just "Radeon 5670" would be your best bet.
$99 for a 5670 is quite a mark-up considering you can get a card for $15 less at Newegg. (Even cheaper, if you're willing to do the paperwork for a rebate.)

When i lower the resolution the whole thing just dosent look right all the things for like character, main menu only show half of the button for it.
Also if I got a new video card would i need to get a better power supply, how can i tell that it would be ok ?

Not necessarily. An inexpensive card like a Radeon HD 5670 doesn't consume very much power. If you were to get something like a Radeon HD 5770 or a Geforce GTX 460, then yes you would need to upgrade the PSU

Sapphire - ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express Graphics Card
Anyone think that would be good to get the specs up ?

Yes, but make sure your power supply can handle it.

Yes, that would be an excellent choice for a stock power supply and Sapphire is a great company in my experience.

Hmm ill have to think about it then, got to make sure my power supply is good though. Anyone know how to check if it would be good enough haha ?
I apologize for my lack of knowledge for computer software, Origins was like the first PC game i actually bought. Soley for the reason that it played much better than the consoles.

Where did you buy your PC? Do you know what model it is? Or was it built for you?

You'll be fine with that card. I'm running the demo on a ATI Radeon 3650 on medium with 1280x768 res on my laptop without lag.

Id say you need to save up for a better rig! Then you will not only be able to enjoy the DA2 demo bt you will also be able to enjoy other Graphic demanding games!

Its an HP 2009m
The problem with saving up for the better rig, is that im not that big on cash at the moment, and Dragon Age 2 is coming out in a few weeks. You guys think the one i list below would be just as good as the one listed above ?
Its like 35 bucks cheaper so i dont know.
