You know, inFamous had the EXACT same glitch. You had to change the difficulty when prompted, at the start of the 1st mission. If you changed the difficulty in the options before your game, you were screwed. I had to play twice on hard mode to get my 1st plat. Unbelievably lame. I hope this doesn't happen with ME2, I've had a tremendous amount of trouble with trophy giltches and los/corrupt save data this gen. I'm almost ready to retire the hobby.

Well, if developers are so sloppy about implementing trophy/achievement code, I'm very disappointed! This is my first serious trophy problem, but I really think it is unacceptable that I've spent almost 30 hours not getting my trophy... BioWare, is this what you give us for supporting and buying your games?!

SAME BULL**** WITH DRAGON AGE ORIGINS!!! People still cannot get the Darkspawn 500 and 1000 kills trophies and its been like a year and a half since the game came out...

Pretty lame for sure. I bought ME2 on day 1 and had to wait weeks for the game-breaking corrupt save bug to be fixed. Now, I'm scared ****less about starting a 40hr insanity run and having it ruined by a glitch. I'm still not even clear on how to avoid it. In my normal playthrough I've been to the options menu several times to toggle squad powers. Do I have delete my data? Can I start a new game+? And if yes, do I have to avoid the options menu for the entire insanity playthrough? The cure sounds dubious, and almost as bad as the disease.

This is terrible, just finished the game on insanity, from the damn beginning, and it doesn't pop?! What the hell are you guys doing over there Bioware?! Can't even get a damn trophy right?
What am i suposed to do now? Start a new playthrough on insanity again for this one trophy which i might or might not get again?! **** this.

I finished the game on normal, changed the difficulty to insanity on the menu and then started the game on insanity (1.1 patch). Had to send my ps3 for repair, now i restored my saves on my new recicled ps3 and the game is reset the difficulty to normal (the settings saved game data were gone, and i don't know why... its not a locked save). I left the game without changing the difficulty settings.

My question is: - should i just quit trying to get the platinum? I'm not willing to do a third playthrough on a poorly developed title. There's no way to check if the save game got flagged or not either. Better just forget about this game, sell it, and watch a playthough of arrival on youtube.

damnit. i played through on hardcore and then imported the character to play through on insanity so i didn't get the trophy. from the bioware post above i gather this is because i looked at the options menu when i changed from hardcore to insanity. that is really dumb. i pretty much thought this was the best game i have ever played until that happened, but part of the reason i play games is to collect the trophies and that was a HUGE disappointment. i sunk an extra 24 hours+ into the game to beat it a second time and get the insanity and platinum trophies and now i feel like i got no reward for it. very lame.

 So I just beat Insanity with my imported ME2 character and I didn't get the trophy, pretty cool. As soon as I was able to control Shepard on Earth for the first time I changed it to Insanity then went through the game, beat it, then no trophy.

Nevermind, the trophy doesn't count if you choose the EC ending my bad xD just redid Earth and chose ending A and it popped.
