Hello all.
So I have had this issue with lots of other things I download from bioware.

I have the demo downloaded and sitting in my download folder, but when I try to run it, my computer slows WAAY down and then nothing happens. With other bioware stuff similar things happen, I downloaded, try to install it, then nothing, I hit open, and nothing happens.

This is most likely an Issue on my side (meaning something with my computer) but any points in the right direction would be helpful.

I use Vista, I and my comp is more than up to spec.
Also--I never have this issue with any other things I download, it is always bioware stuff.

I have the exact same problem. No idea how to fix it. I haven't ever had this problem before, just with the demo download.

Click start and type "Event Viewer" (no quotes) into the search field. It should show you the Event Viewer, which will list things that happened on your PC. Look for Applications and look in there for anything Dragon Age 2 related.

I'm having the same problem (also on Vista), but I've just had it start working. I've copied it across to my desktop, right-clicked and run as administrator, and that didn't seem to do anything, but after a few minutes a dialogue box appeared asking for confirmation. That led to another wait, then finally set-up began. Not sure if it was anything I did that made a difference, but it could just be a matter of leaving it for a while.

I didn't try Event Viewer, but I'm fairly sure nothing appeared in the Processes tab of Task Manager until after that confirmation box.

Edit: Might be worth noting that I have UAC turned off. Not sure if that's making a difference, here.
