After hours of dowloading, I got the demo installed BUT it refuses to work. I hit the play button when the screen comes up but an error message pops up. . . I do not know exactly what hte error message says. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet now it refuses to load at all. What do I do?

No one is going to be able to offer a bit of help when you decline to offer useful infornmation.  What version?  What platform?  What hardware?  What OS?  etc. etc.

Not to mention that if you can't be bothered to remember what the error message is, you aren't at all serious about trying to find a fix.

I think when we all install the game it will defaulted setting ADIO IS " DISABLE "

so you should open your DRAGON AGE 2 LAUNCHER -> CONFIG -> AUDIO => and ENABLE your sound. It should work fine.

Have fun n good luck

I have the same problem...

At the launcher, I click play and it shows me an error message saying:

"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_43.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I did re-install it and it didn't help

I get the exact same message. d3dx9_43.dl is missing... whatever that is. Reinstall doesn't help. I'm on windows 7.

Hey guys I found the solution. If you open the launcher and click support it will take you to the bioware forums. Like the third thread down has this error posted and the solution. All you have to do is update your direct x. Good luck.

Yeah the problem is that windows 7 does not come with directx 9 out of the box so you have to install it yourself from microsofts website.
