I don't like that beady thing under her lip. Piercing or something?
At first, I thought her piercing was a wart.

It's a dress!
I'd actually like a fashionista to educate us on at which point a shirt becomes a dress.
It's a tunic dress!

She's wearing very little. Bless her heart.
P.S. It technically looks like a Bodice, but longer at the bottom, to provide her with a rather skimpy skirt. Either way, yes, Bodice. Google it people.

When I read that description it made me wonder why poor Isabela hasn't gotten a change of clothes between that moment and her meeting with Hawke. The short story made it sound like she's only half-dressed because of extenuating circumstances - the shipwreck, like she got caught napping or something - and not because it's a personal fashion statement.Maria Caliban wrote...
"The woman that walks into the Hanged Man is a sight, bedraggled and scruffy, like a rat that’s been soaking in the bilge for a week. Her ripped, weather-beaten smock is stained with soot from Lowtown’s chimneys and her boots, while of fine leather, are well-worn and crudely patched in a number of places. Her bearing, however, is proud, even arrogant, and she strides into the tavern like she owns the place."
I hope she puts pants on when her outfit upgrades.

Also its Fereldan tradition for women to only wear decorative armour on one arm, usually the left as a sign of courtship. It all makes sense.

Naturally, I am a huge promoter of the pantsless agenda.

EDIT:
there is also a passive ability called "Blindness" that negates the stunning effect, unless physical contact is made, in which case they then faint.

It's a modern bodice, hence why there is a weapon called the bodice ripper. According to the wikia anyway and it is obtainable after the quest in the demo. It appears she was designed to look like a gypsy?
:huh:I wish I knew what gypsies Bioware was referencing.

You'd think with all this threads, and the amount of jokes regarding this or similar topics such a simple statement wouldn't have made me laugh. But yet... it did.
There is an Isabella thread of course OP, you could trying asking the experts therein!

Just like Annah from PS:T, her outward appearance is shamelessly geared towards making 13-yo boys all hot and bothered. Let's hope that the writing is good enough to overcome the blatant cheese, like it was with Annah... On a purely visual level, Bioware's character designs are getting harder to take seriously, game by game...
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Did people really go for the physical sex appeal act in the age of PS:T graphics?

I resent that! I am much older then thirteen and equally capable of getting hot bothered over scantily clad women!

The templar/mage conflict is a minor arc in DA2's storyline. The main conflict will be the pants party v the non-pants party in a brutal, bloody disco showdown at the champion's estate. You can choose to side with Isabela (and thus remove everyone in your party's pants - those that deny it must be dealt with) and change the very fate of the world by making the wearing of pants illegal, or vice versa.
Sorry, tired.
