I know what we saw in the demo wasn't 'final' in terms of look and maybe even functionality, my question is this...
Does the Engine Optimisation that takes place in the final stages of development improve the graphical quality of a game, at a cost of more resources to run? Or will the process enable the engine to produce better graphics without creating a greater drain on a PCs system?
Put another way; I was happy with how the demo looked and ran on 1920x1080, medium, 8x AA (the lag between action and cutscene aside, which Mike says is fixed in the final build). Will the final build run as well and look better? Or will I need to drop quality in order to maintain performance?
