So I managed to successfully render lightmaps once, then I added some lights in other rooms and tried again. This time, nothing renders and it says E: 17:45:04 - Job submission process failed with a return code of '-1073741515'.

I took a look around and couldn't find any information on this, and I tried posting to local / restarting the level editor / turning on / off lightmap visuals but nothing worked. Any idea?

Ya don't install ActivePython 2.5 I believe it's just Python 2.5.

At my wits end, I went and deleted every source of light in the level and still it gives me errors whether I have a light source in the level or not.

Just to test, I made a completely new level and set up ambient and static lights there, only to get the same error.

E: 20:31:56 - Failed to submit lightmap layout [test3]

E: 20:31:56 - Job submission process failed with a return code of '-1073741515'.

W: 20:31:56 - Failed to find lightmap-atlas info for model 'fhi_floorwood3x3_0', part '_2s4'

Do you have 64-bit? Try the 32-bit version and if that doesn't work read here:

Made sure I got the 32 bit when I downloaded it. Tried the 2.5 Python thing, and it doesn't help. The actions it does seem different, but equally useless.

Not sure I understand how to do that. What files do I erase? Or is there some uninstaller? Or do I just install the toolset again?

Also, will I be able to keep the levels I've made so far?

*Edit* The wiki talks about an uninstallation shortcut in the startmenu folder with the toolset, but it doesn't seem to be there or anywhere in the Dragon Age folders.

*Re-edit* Nevermind, found it under a different folder.

*Sigh*

Okay, it didn't work. In fact, every time I try to run a lightmap render with Python 2.5 the toolset mostly stops responding entirely.

Well, some good news. I decided to just let the lightmap render run. The game still gives loads of errors and says it fails to find lightmap atlas for every object, but perhaps that's normal? Anyway, it takes THIRTY MINUTES now for it to render.

Is that normal? I saw this tutorial where it took 7 seconds. It seemed to run very fast the first time with ActivePython, but... well who knows?
