I like Bethany better than Carver?  Even if she does turn into some giant male-chicken-block when it comes to mai Anders? And did so like being able to make things go boom...

Here's a poll!

I will eventually play as a mage, but I have a feeling I will avoid it simply because... Carver is mean. >.<

I'm a little peeved because I had heard that we could choose to save which of our siblings could be spared, if not both.

Personally, I'll probably be playing a mage on my first playthrough just to get Carver instead of Bethany. Typically I'd go for a rogue, but I'd rather have an interesting brotherly rivalry than a sister who seems too nice for her own good.

That's what multiple playthroughs are for.

Actually, yes. I love mages, but I also love Bethany. I'll probably play a rogue first for that reason.

I'm not sure I can play anything but a mage. Bethany's voice makes me rage...

Opposite for me... through I play all classes. I think the sibling rivalry potential Carver has for a male Hawke is too good to pass up.

I'm going with mage just because I like to play mages. I really don't care which one dies.

I don't really care about the siblings at this stage, the fun of playing mage outweighs any other considerations for me.

I completed my mage playthrough last night, and absolutely loved it from a playstyle perspective. Yes Carver is annoying, but I'll learn to like him (hopefully!). I am currently torn between first playthrough as mage or 2h warrior...

I keep hoping for that actually, I doubt it, but maybe it'll be a surprise.

Good thing I have a thing for protecting my friends so I'm playing a Warrior. But understand the predicament of those who wants to play a Mage. I hate Carver's face.

I love mages but I don't like their robes. Why do all the other characters get sexy armour and Hawke seems to cover completely up to the neck?

Bethany sounds annoying as hell to me, good thing I had planned to make my first playthrough as a mage anyway.

Honestly, I don't mind Bethany, but the fact that she is ALL complaints early on really made me 'meh' about her. Carver is a bit less vocal so he could either turn out fun or irritating. Either way i'm going to play all classes over the years until DA3.

No. You're not the only one.

His giant evil manga plankswords are enough to get him banned from the party :P.

Won't stop me, they'd both be sitting in camp anyway.

I want Bethany to survive if I'm playing Male and Carver to survive if I'm playing female. Since I'm playing Male my first playthrough, it's Warrior

No.

Because I never play a whole game as a mage. Ever.

I lose interest...and no matter how hard someone tries. Their clothing / armour sucks.

I always pick Mage characters over Rogues or Warriors (DAO being an excpetion do to Dwarves can't be mages and Rogues get Rangers...which is no longer the case here, so Mage for me), and it doesn't matter who lives or dies, because Anders, Fenris, and Varric will be the ones I use 95% of the time, the other 5% is leeway incase I'm forced to use the others.

I will mostly likely have playthroughs of all the classes. I am planning to have Hawke be the same class as the warden save I am importing. I'm weird though. I'm starting with a rogue.

Bethany seems to be more friendly and to have that family closeness more, but I am interested to see the rivalry with Carver... I am torn.

I actually am not a huge fan of Bethany. I mean, I don't hate her, but I am more excited to test the rivalry system with Carver.
