Although, after I read dead Bethany's codex about her admiring Hawke's love of magic and then being best friends and whatever, I felt a little sad. Eh, she'll be in my rogue and warrior playthroughs.

Whatever man, I'm a dude & Kaidan always survives Virmire.TwistedComplex wrote...
In other news Kaden is STILL dead on Vermire because everyone hates the male companion
Given a choice between biotic Carth Onasi, & a ****y racist with the face of a chimpanzee, who wouldn't go with Kaidan?
I don't get all the love for Bethany, & the hate for Carver.
All Bethany did was whine, & have breasts, when it comes to breasts there's also Floozy the Pirate, the little elf girl, & Aveline.
And honestly both of the other mages seem better than Bethany.
Just/ers, & Merril both have a place in my party..
Carver actually had things to say.
He was more useful in combat, & from what I've seen of Fenris, Carver's the cooler two-hander.
He's got better threads too.
Also, the man's biceps could shatter the timestream.

I like Bethany better than Carver? Even if she does turn into some giant male-chicken-block when it comes to mai Anders? And did so like being able to make things go boom...

I understand - I like Bethany better than Carver too, so far, but I really love playing a mage so eventually I will have to watch poor Bethany get smashed. But, I do have some interest in exploring a rivalry with Carver, and it does seem like a promising alternative

To be honest I don't like the fact that Bethany survives when I plas as a rogue, I don't like her, I mean I like her character but her voice sounds really annoying. x.x

That said I'm still undecided on whether to play a rogue or mage. It will likely come down to a coin toss, though I am leaning toward mage, as I like flinging fire at stuff. But as I am planning at two and more likely four or five playthroughs, I'll probably have had my fill of both of them by the time I done.

Poor Bethany. I always play mages, so she'll be first to bite the dust.

This is completely unfair... they aren't targeting a single gender here. Carver dies if you pick Warrior AND Rogue. 2 to 1 odds that he dies, and that's okay?Nooneyouknow13 wrote...
Aye, I was going to go with mage until I found out it would kill Bethany. While there's a mechanic behind it, I'm just so, very, very, weary of women stuffed in fridges.
My point was if you play a mage it simply plays out in the most tired way possible, that's all.
