A lot of the timeline in the DA world doesn't add up.

I can understand why the OP is upset, but this is nothing new.

I don't see a problem with this. As soon as news from Ostagar arrived in Lothering, people started fleeing.

They LIVE(d) in Lothering. They went to fight in Ostagar. Ostagar happened, and then they started fleeing immediately. They chose to flee before the horde got to Lothering and destroyed it. All of this can happen pretty quickly.

Plus... "framed narrative" gives a lot of story-telling license.

Or am I missing the point of the OP?

Btw, this is 8 pages, I didn't read most of it, just responding to the original topic.

Carver didn't have someone guide him out of the woods, poor guy probably stumbled all over the place before he finally got out.

Not to mention the Darkspawn roaming about killing everything in the Korcari Wilds.

BTW: Did Flemeth really had an "appointment" after saving Hawke(s) or did she just tell that to enjoy some Morrigan-free time somewhere nice?

Could be. It might also be awesome, and I'm just not going to tell you. Posted Image

this means her "appointment" will obviously be important in some way

I didn't want to read nine pages so if it was said I'm sorry but

Lothering does not get destroyed until the warden completes this first main quest. CouPle of weeks or so

I believe that, while Lothering itself wasn't being attacked when Hawke and his family started their runaway, it's surroundings were, so they encountered the Darkspawns only after leaving the town, and that's where DAII starts.

The warden leaves before lothering is destroyed, well before, while hawkes leaves just as the darkspawn reach lothering. Flemeth sends morrigan on her way before that, so shes free to meet up with hawke.

Carver could just have fled the battle at ostagar and got to lothering just as the warden was settimg out for it. I see no problem.

Maybe Hawke/Carver were injured so they couldn't move as quickly.

Hawke didn't have a Witch of the Wilds as a guide. :)

Warrior/Rogue Hawke and Carver were at Ostagar.

Why? Because they are individuals!

Since he was a Warrior/Rogue. Not Mage.

Didn't Morrigan say she wasn't actually dead if you decided to kill her,

The codex on Flemeth in Dragon Age pretty much says "She might not be dead"

She did, so did the codex and Morrigan confirmed it in witch hunt

And yet he still got himself out of the Wilds and back home--injured, exhausted, with very little rest and constantly on the run from darkspawn.

You know what Carver and warrior/rogue Hawke are?  BADASSES.

And it isn't like surviving Ostagar is uncommon.

Wynne survived and managed to get back to the circle tower.

Look how long it took Fergus Cousland to get out of the wilds.

i have to say you have a small point but really he would have barley escapes ostigar lost most likely in the woods find the road (maybe they never said that) and runs to lothering asap. why the warden get a guide in morrigan who knows the wilds like no one else could. Its not hard to believe that it took hawk and his brother days to get there maybe weeks.

How many time do you think there where walking about and said Dam i know that tree i hate this place.they should count themselfs lucky they got out of the wilds at all let alone with enough time to save there family.

As for  Flemeth i was under the impression that Hawks meeting with her happens before the warend  has the option to kill her. i mean you cant kill her till after you do the tower with is after lothering is dead and gone. Hawks meeting happens during the attack or shortly after.

Warden leaves  Flemeth
Flemeth alive meets hawk while Warden is in the Circle tower
Warden kills  Flemeth

easy timline to see.

But I remember Flemeth saying to Hawke that she couldn't take the medallion herself since she needed to be somewhere else. I'm assuming this is the day after the fight and Carver and Hawke barely had time to pick up mom and sister and then run away from darkspawn. The following morning when the Warden woke up from injuries, I'm assuming is the same morning Hawke is running away with family. Flemeth needed to be there for the Warden and make sure they were good to go to stop the Blight.

I fail to see the continuity problem here.

your wrong Hawke gets his family out after Lotherings destruction or during the warden woke up far before that.

And how fast Wynne got to the Circle Tower, which is further than Lothering faster than the Warden.

Characters move at the speed of plot.
