I can understand why the OP is upset, but this is nothing new.

They LIVE(d) in Lothering. They went to fight in Ostagar. Ostagar happened, and then they started fleeing immediately. They chose to flee before the horde got to Lothering and destroyed it. All of this can happen pretty quickly.
Plus... "framed narrative" gives a lot of story-telling license.
Or am I missing the point of the OP?
Btw, this is 8 pages, I didn't read most of it, just responding to the original topic.

Not to mention the Darkspawn roaming about killing everything in the Korcari Wilds.

this means her "appointment" will obviously be important in some wayDavid Gaider wrote...
Could be. It might also be awesome, and I'm just not going to tell you.BTW: Did Flemeth really had an "appointment" after saving Hawke(s) or did she just tell that to enjoy some Morrigan-free time somewhere nice?

Lothering does not get destroyed until the warden completes this first main quest. CouPle of weeks or so

Carver could just have fled the battle at ostagar and got to lothering just as the warden was settimg out for it. I see no problem.

Didn't Morrigan say she wasn't actually dead if you decided to kill her,
just a thought,

She did, so did the codex and Morrigan confirmed it in witch hunt

Hawke didn't have a Witch of the Wilds as a guide.
And yet he still got himself out of the Wilds and back home--injured, exhausted, with very little rest and constantly on the run from darkspawn.
You know what Carver and warrior/rogue Hawke are? BADASSES.

Wynne survived and managed to get back to the circle tower.

Carver didn't have someone guide him out of the woods, poor guy probably stumbled all over the place before he finally got out.
Look how long it took Fergus Cousland to get out of the wilds.

How many time do you think there where walking about and said Dam i know that tree i hate this place.they should count themselfs lucky they got out of the wilds at all let alone with enough time to save there family.
As for Flemeth i was under the impression that Hawks meeting with her happens before the warend has the option to kill her. i mean you cant kill her till after you do the tower with is after lothering is dead and gone. Hawks meeting happens during the attack or shortly after.
Warden leaves Flemeth
Flemeth alive meets hawk while Warden is in the Circle tower
Warden kills Flemeth
easy timline to see.

I fail to see the continuity problem here.

But I remember Flemeth saying to Hawke that she couldn't take the medallion herself since she needed to be somewhere else. I'm assuming this is the day after the fight and Carver and Hawke barely had time to pick up mom and sister and then run away from darkspawn. The following morning when the Warden woke up from injuries, I'm assuming is the same morning Hawke is running away with family. Flemeth needed to be there for the Warden and make sure they were good to go to stop the Blight.
I fail to see the continuity problem here.
your wrong Hawke gets his family out after Lotherings destruction or during the warden woke up far before that.

And how fast Wynne got to the Circle Tower, which is further than Lothering faster than the Warden.
Characters move at the speed of plot.
