Once again you fail to realise I am talking about BW spending time and resources on DA2 content that most users can not use (toolset). Would you like them spending time developing DLC for the consoles at the the expense of the PC.
IE console only content never to be used for PC I think not. That is my point. Actually I think they should make dlc for all parties PC included you are just arguing for your format only. Any time spent developing a toolset is resources and time taken away from other formats
Yeah, when Bioware made the dlcs for DAO, they have full time and resources, and didn't have to think about a toolset because it was already made. That doesn't prevent the dlcs to be of poor quality, and DAA to be buggy as hell.

If my memory serves correctly, the devs have said that there will be an update to the DA toolset, updating it to allow modding of DA2 rather than a new release of a new toolset. Could be wrong though.
As far as I'm aware of they haven't promised such a thing but more that they are still looking into the possibility of doing it down the line (http://social.biowar...51281/1#5958348). For me it sounded more that they haven't ruled a "no tool set" out yet instead of ruling out a "no tool set".
But I guess it depends a bit on how many times the tool set was downloaded and how many mods were / are created and downloaded / used ... and then compared that to their expectations before DA:O came out, throw a bit of cost / benefit into it and we'll see what the outcome will be.

No it was buggy as hell agreed but imagine how worse it would have been if half the staff were developing a toolset at the same time. The original toolset was developed because of a long delay. So I assume you want DA2 delayed or what. Because doing both DLC and toolset will be harder than just dlc. As you said that was beyond them with DA how will the extra work make their dlc better?

The delay was caused due to the console port. I don't want DA2 to be delayed, but they can make a toolset later.
DAA was buggy because they didn't put much effort in it, I think due to the DA2 short development cycle.
EA and Bioware have enough resources to make both a toolset and good dlcs, if they want to do it.
Bioware should optimize all the versions of the game. A key role of a PC RPG is the toolset, so in my opinion they should release it.

Lol I love PC fan boys. I am actually using a PC now genius. I just like the 360 for gaming as to me a PC is a work tool and I use one 40 + hours a week. I need to get away from a keyboard. I have a desktop and 2 laptops as a matter of fact. I have no spite against them what so ever. Its like asking a van driver to use his off time driving in my case. As for the PC should they make an expansion just for the 360 PS3. I bet the PC lot would say no, yet when I say no to extra content just for PCI get called spiteful. What a silly lot PC fan boys are.

It was buggy as hell and most of the DLC wasn't up to Bioware's normal standards and was fixable with a toolset so what's your point? They do DLC, we modders make it better. They produce a game, we modders make it better. It was because of mods that I bought the Ultimate Edition of DAO. Mods was why I bought Bethesda games and went back and played BG2 and NWN. Without mods, I wouldn't have played any of them. A toolset would be profit for Bioware because it keeps interest in the game, makes people buy the game who wouldn't otherwise, and it most of all keeps people happy who will buy Bioware games in the future because Bioware goes out of their way to make them a toolset.

In mods you can´t effort the time and not so much stuff like 60 voice actors!
But you can fix and improve little things in mods... thats why i like em!

Ah, I see you don't have an Alienware laptop or two or you'd definitely think a PC was for gaming and in HD too. I work in engineering and use a computer all day long and can't stand playing anything on a console. I don't consider us pc fanboys/girls. Really think about it. Textures, with a mod, the textures in DAO now look incredible. The game wasn't created that way, a modder made it that way. PCs would open a world for you. I should add that in our household we have 2 Alienware laptops, two gaming desktops, a 17" HP laptop that does pretty well in gaming and 2 consoles, a Wii and a new XBox 360 slim. My son loves his xbox but he games Dragon Age on the computer and let me tell you, it's fairly hard to impress an almost 15 yr old but he loved the JB Textures and said it makes him want to play DAO all over again.

Why not do dlc available for all, If they are going to put a team together and spend X amount of cash on it .Make it so all can use it not just content only for a small group of users. I note none of you has said they should just do stuff for console that shows you are just thinking of your own needs ratgher than the majority wanting a toolset. This topic is invalid.

The fact is making a dlc toolset will be available to probably less than a quarter of all players. (not all PC players even require it)

Frankly, the DLC that was available for DAO, hmm, they can make it available to consoles only and give us a toolset. Enough said. The DLC wasn't good and the toolset was already created. If the DLC isn't up to ME standards then they can make it for the console only. The topic is valid and I wouldn't complain if they charged for the toolset. I'd still buy it.

If you actually read the quotye you made. My tone is appropriate, it is more reasonable than the poster who was snarky to my one. Oh yes I see as a PC fan he is Ok in your book LOL. At least apply the same measure to all parties if you want to be taken serious.

I didn't choose to ignore anything and just because you have a modified "workhorse" doesn't mean that we are fanboys/girls just because we don't use a console. Your point is invalid. And in a laptop, it's all about the video card. An onboard video chip does not cut it for gaming in no sense of the real world. A touchscreen lappy is for art/photoshop etc, not gaming. Oh BTW, I also modify laptops and computers and have been doing it since 1992.

If the dlcs aren't around the level of LotSB, I'll not buy, even if I play con console. It's nice to add content to a game, but I don't want to puy to have poor additional content like DAO dlcs (infact, I don't have none of this dlcs expect Shale that I took with DAO and DAA, that was a gift).

You are missing an important detail that invalidates your comparison. It is not possible to apply mods to a console game with the console as is. It is possible to do so with PC. If it was possible to release a toolset for console, we'd see it done, as the devs have already stated that a toolset positively impacts DLC sales, thus it is in their benefit to release one.Bruno Hslaw wrote...

There is quite the difference between logistical impossibility and "can't be arsed to".

The only reason I have the DLC for DAO is because I bought the Ultimate Edition. For ME and ME2, we bought all the DLC they made and I have points for all the new ME2 DLC. I think the DA team needs to live up to the expectation we fans place on them or not release DLC at all.

What part can you not follow. I really do not need to start using smaller words so you can follow what I have said do I.
