I'm wondering if I can do simple things like change MHawke's eye color and beard. But I'll most likely make major changes.
You can do both, actually. Both and MORE.

If you mean edit the defaults then no you cant, but we've been told theirs presets that look very similar to them.

Oh yeah, if he means that, then no.

I'll go for a blonde with a light face tattoo. Something like my DA2 import warden.

At least last year the CC creator curbed some of that. :/

I'm really sad there's no CC for demo this time, this means my first week will be spent optimizing my perfect Hawke. Yeah that's right first WEEK. I am that picky. If she doesn't look good from all camera angles I just can't continue and need to reroll. This means I spent days playing the intro over and over..

I feel bad for you.

Since I had it open anyway, here's the rogue I'm making for my first playthrough.
God, I suck at makeup.
That hairstyle and colour is almost identical to my Dalish Elf Warden! Thats what I will try and re-create when I get the game

I'm not sure how soon into the game we can access that mirror of transformation (or whatever it's called), but that at least means you can alter how she/he looks without having to start from scratch.

And after that whole week creating one, when you get half way through the game a toolset will come out, and then mods with new hair styles, skin tones, eye shapes/colours and the list goes on will be out and then you'll have to abandon your game and spend ANOTHER week making it just right again!
Edit - Forgot about that mirror of transformation. You're lucky then!

I don't know what I'm going to do with my Hawke yet. I'll experiment with it for a while. I typically spend at least a couple of hours in character creation depending on the game.

Male (probably rogue or mage)- I'll probably go with blonde hair and blue/green eyes, fair but not deathly pale, something like Ryan Phillippe, with a handsome, boyish look that makes him look like he's in his early twenties, goes well with the sarcastic demeanor. I may have a bit of stubble or a small goatee, but not too much facial hair. He's sort of like my City Elf Warden rogue (my first import), who had platinum silver hair and ice blue eyes and romanced Zevran (a tanned blonde), except Hawke will be the blonde and Fenris is the tanned silver-hair.
Female Hawke (class undetermined)- A very pretty African female, hopefully DA2 has braided long hair (similar to like Alicia Keys has, or even the braids in the Knights of the Old Republic games), beautiful caramel skin with her makeup in various shades of beige/gold that compliment her features. She will basically look like a princess suited for Anders (...or Isabela...). Hazel/light brown eyes to accentuate her face. I'll love to see what Carver/Bethany/Leandra look like (hopefully she won't appear like the stepchild like my black Cousland did).
Those are the only two concepts I really have so far. As far as their class and whichever else goes that'll be March 8 when I get the game.

Add me to the list, I'd have taken that over the demo, that way I can see the hair options as well as presets to work off of (because I don't want default Bethany/Carver/Leandra).

Well, they should at least have the complexion to match. I imagine you would probably have to pick an African-looking preset for them to have the right facial type, and then shape your Hawke's from there. I hated that adopted issue that so many of my characters had in DAO. It was one reason I played a mage so frequently.

Bugger 'em, narrow-minded gits. RPGs are awesome, but they aren't the only fun games in the world. <_<
