Okay, so here's the scoop:
Models in DA2: The Demo are floating. Whenever Hawke (And I, the player.) am in a non-combat/exploration mode, models don't seem to respond to stimulus the way they should. For instance, our ramblin', storytellin' dwarf does not slump on his chair and get shoved around a bit in the (probably) well crafted intro movie. Instead, I get a nice view of his legs.

This continues the way though. The smooth animations of our Seeker stabbing the book with... Sword? I can't really tell... don't run through properly. Bethany has little trouble dispatching the Darkspawn, and she even asks me nicely if she could do it instead of Hawke at one point! Oh, but her spell wasn't so powerful, there're still some legs standing unscathed...

Luckily, after a hard fight, we get him down to on the last dregs of it's brutish life... and Hawke decides his time is better spent floating and staring at the sunset. (Screenshot: http://img87.imagesh...1022500235.jpg/) Hawke floats around causing what would probably be severe harm! It stands stunned as Hawke defies gravity, and common sense. This was about where I gave up taking screenshots, to be honest. I played a little further in my first try, even getting up to where a previously unknown (Probably?) female dismembers (Read, stands board-still and floats around some cool camera angles) darkspawn and says they will NEVER GET HAWKE while she still lives. Pretty dramatic, I imagine. Though on a second round of screenshotting, I found another, new bug that caused me to giggle. Looks like I should've quit when I was a-head. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty.
I'm running the Steam version of the demo, on PC. My computer is generally strong, with no problems in DA:O and other high-end games. Stats here:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33Ghz, 2 CPUs
4096MB RAM
NVida GeForce 9800 GX2, updated drivers (Of course)
Running two displays, is this a problem?
Problem happens in DX9 and 11.
Windowed/fullscreen causes no difference.
Personal opinon:
I can't play the game like this, it's just... I don't know what's going on. However, if this problem is merely limited to the demo, it's... kinda hilarious. I'm happy to see the lighter side of this... Though I'm glad I haven't preordered *just* yet, no matter how much I love ME and DA.
