I created a character, and was running through the prologue, but it won't let me save the game at all any time during the entire prologue section, which would be fine, except... Now that I get to the point where we're about to enter Kirkwall, I get the loading screen for several HOURS. With no apparent hope that it is going to come out of that said loading screen. Which means that I'm pretty much stuck playing the intro over and over again forever, or something else needs to get fixed.

can you access your inventory? i'm pretty sure you're on the demo there.

Yes, I can access my inventory. But I can't save throughout the intro. Which would be nice, because then I can just get up to the end portion of the intro, save the game, and then keep trying until it works. As it stands, I have to go through the ENTIRE intro from the beginning every time, and then sit around waiting for the loading screen to then NOT do anything...

Has this one been spotted too. When you have a variety of potions of the same class in your inventory, say health potions ( Elfroot, ordinary health, ie differing potions that recharge the same stat ) using one will put a cooldown timer on all the others...for no apparent reason. Use Elfroot and nope, you can't use any other types of health potion until the Elfroot has timed out.
So in the heat of battle it becomes impossible to use any of the other pots in your inventory because of this global cooldown being in effect. Especially on Nightmare this means battles get lost because of this bug or oversight.
Not like it was in Origins, where having used a greater health poultice, whilst that was cooling down you could still use a lesser pot etc.

Here's the bugs i've found:
1) quick heal button remains on screen, even through cutscenes, so it looks like an artifact. it does not work either
2) as many said above, leveling screen cuts out if you select another character
3) toggling between characters during battle through the small character icons is buggy, and doesnt work most of the time
4) tactics window is buggy to the max. for instance, for the mage, if I select ENEMY, it selects ALLY:STAGGERED. likewise, if i'm trying to setup some AOE logic, the tactic options are not as you would expect. for instance, if im trying to setup, ENEMY:When 2 or more are clustered. instead, I get a window displaying "ALLY, ENEMY, CLEAR, etc". I have to cycle through each option to get the game to finally tell me whats what.
5) after I get to the second phase of the game after reaching kirkwall, the game freezes during load, and kicks me out after i press a few buttons and click around.
This definitely is weaksauce, the game has potential, and i like the story, but im not shelling out $50 for a game if it has this many bugs. random crashing and poor menu selection ... welcome on to the failboat.

I'll definitely second #1 to be a legitimate problem. Although it doesn't make the game unplayable, it is quite unpleasant.
I've also been having some issues.
After my haste duration expires (in combat) my Hawke attacks/casts ridiculously slow...I'm not sure if this is a bug but it sure is a pain.
I'm not sure if it's just from haste or if there is another trigger...I'll try to figure out.

Playing on the PC myself and I can confirm (again) Cyr8's bug #1 targeting problem. I also soon found the solution: re-select the character (continue clicking the portrait) until the problem resolves. It's very annoying and I can't imagine playing the game without having discovered that workaround.
I believe I've also seen Cyr8's bug#3. AOE effects often will not allow you to place them as you would expect you could. Still framing this one.
I'm more disappointed because Origins had very visually pleasing power effects and early into DA II the effects so far seem very mundane and weak by comparison. Is this a concern for anyone else? I was looking forward to DA II and expected a game with an equal or better experience.

I've experienced Cyr8's bugs 1 through 3. Additionally it happens occasionally that my rogue will walk like he's got weapons equipped while they are still on his back. But that's about it. Nothing gamebreaking.

The UI is a bit of a mess generally I found the cant attack bug is a cant interact with anything but, unless you select another character then go back to the one you wanted to use, the tool tips get stuck quite often even after you stop hovering over the ability/item etc in your quickbar and again quite often clicking on a spell/ability doesn't fire off.
Maybe all this slipped the devs notice but i think its pretty damn noticeable when youre trying to fight a whopping great boss and things keep getting dropped in the process... I havent really played a rogue yet but i did notice the backstab screen bug a few times with isabella... hoping it'll all be fixed in the next patch...

Hello Bioware I got this bug on the game which really annoyed me like everytime I entered a battle there's always a popping damage per second(DPS) to all my party members even though they're just attacking just one of my party member...
By the way I"m playing on a nightmare mode so I think it's jus normal at first so I just let it but when I reach the boss in the deep roads teh DPS just got bigger like 195DPS the HP of my character is just 300+ and varric has 200HP varric is just two hits of the DPS...
I really got annoyed in this!!! Please tell me how to fix it...[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/sad.png[/smilie]

heres a SERIOUS pc bug it doesn't save i click save and the icon just stays there nothing happens and when the game goes to loading while saving it doesnt finish either
At the time the above comment was added, the complete DA2 game had been released, and the Demo forum was already moribund. It appears that from about that point, forward, the members have been adding comments about GAME problems, not DEMO problems. This thread is about the Demo, not about the game. Demos never get any patches, and a year and a half after release, the DA2 game itself will not be patched again, either.
