Codex entries will probably mention the Warden.
Companions who met the Warden may mention the Warden and probably will.
Refugees who fled from Ferelden will probably mention the Warden.
The death of the archdemon will be heard all over the world and the Warden that killed it will be mentioned.
After all - everyone knows all about the previous Grey Wardens who defeated the archdemons and even after 4 centuries - we hear about the first Grey Warden to end the blight.

Bioware already confirmed (I'm sure) that we will hear about our Warden but it might be through NPC banter that doesn't seem important. If we didn't hear about our Warden, it'll be stupid considering he/she defeated Thedas' equivalent of Satan or helped in doing so.

Keep in mind that DA2 is set over 10 years so we might hear about the Warden after the archdemon is defeated from many but then after the game progresses again, we might only hear about the Warden from one person and then from Codex entries with one being Anders' Codex entry about his travels with the Grey Warden.

You are not alone. Many feel the same way. This has been debated over last 7 months. But that's not the direction anymore. Bioware feel the need to changes and furthermore the Warden story is not feasible to be continued due to it;s different endings.

The Warden's tale spans over some years if you include Witch Hunt where the bed in Flemeth's hut is proclaimed as not being slept in for years. Morrigan was seen with a child after Origins, so perhaps Witch Hunt is two years after Origins and the Warden's Tale spans over thee years and four if we go by the drawf noble origin.

I must admit, the fact Hawke is described as the 'single most important character' in all of Thedas, rather than just his original title of Champion of Kirkwall kinda pissed me off.

I can't help but feel like everything my Warden did kinda meant nothing, but I shrugged it off as nothing, that I always knew before Hawke was announced, that my Warden's adventures would come to an end and that real heroes don't need regonition, nor thanks for what they do...

As long as they don't do a ME here and make DA3 or 4 or whatever centre around Hawke as well, basically making him/her the Shepard of Dragon Age and completely ignoring the previous games, I'll be happy.

I think Bioware has made it quite clear in several places that the Dragon Age franchise would be about the world of Thedas and the Dragon Age and not any one specific character. As upset as I was over this initial decision, I can certainly see the value of it. Where a one character driven story can go for the course of his/her lifetime a world like Thedas would have an unlimited amount of stories available. So many possibilities I personally am looking forward to exploring this world and Age with Bioware and all it has to offer.

I'm refering to how long it took him to become famous which is just the blight story. After all if your Warden died he very well couldn't have gone after Morrigan. Hawke's story apparently took 10 years.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... not everyone's so impressed by this Jesus character. We're not turning this into a religious debate (which is probably not allowed), but your argument's been pretty heavily linked to this.

The point is that, even in not mentioning this stuff in the demo, it doesn't mean it's unlikely to happen anyway. Consider that, in terms of what the demo gives us, we're still only talking about right around the time the Warden left Lothering anyway. The Warden probably left something like a few days prior to Hawke's family. In that timeframe, there's really not much to talk about. No ashes, no hero of Ferelden.  So, the only thing Flemeth can mention is that not all of the Wardens are dead. 

A few of the other posters made good points in that, though DA2 (which spans roughly 10 years) will likely reference the Warden a bit, some of the information may be twisted due to various factors or even downplayed, considering it was Ferelden's battle.

It makes me wonder too...how can Hawke over shadow the Grey Warden's adventure. I mean I know that Hawke's story is 10 years long. But he's not going to save the world from the Blight...and his story is probably only going to pick up momentum after the Thaw...so the Blight is basically NOT here...right? Unless something crazy happens and we get 2 Blights at once.

This trouble me. I have heard rumor that we'll be seeing Hawke again. Cassandra will make her appearance in DA 3. Possibly to look for Champion of Kirwall as Varric himself doesn't know where he/she is.

DA 2 end with Cliffhanger just like Morrigan's story.
