The Warden's tale spans over some years if you include Witch Hunt where the bed in Flemeth's hut is proclaimed as not being slept in for years. Morrigan was seen with a child after Origins, so perhaps Witch Hunt is two years after Origins and the Warden's Tale spans over thee years and four if we go by the drawf noble origin.

I'm refering to how long it took him to become famous which is just the blight story. After all if your Warden died he very well couldn't have gone after Morrigan. Hawke's story apparently took 10 years.

Yeah, it took him ten years to watch or be apart of the events that led the world to become the brik of war. The Warden pretty much singlehandedly rounded up a make shift army from just what they had in Fereldan, defeating the Blight the SAME year it began, when it had previously taken at least 10 years to defeat the Blights without the other countries of Thedas even NOTICING something was up.

Somehow, I think our Warden kinda won.

As long as they don't do a ME here and make DA3 or 4 or whatever centre around Hawke as well, basically making him/her the Shepard of Dragon Age and completely ignoring the previous games, I'll be happy.

This trouble me. I have heard rumor that we'll be seeing Hawke again. Cassandra will make her appearance in DA 3. Possibly to look for Champion of Kirwall as Varric himself doesn't know where he/she is.

DA 2 end with Cliffhanger just like Morrigan's story.

Saddly, I've heard that too. It's why I'm secretly kinda worried. I didn't even originally hear about the part of Hawke, I just heard that the developers are ALREADY talking about DA3 (Despite the fact DA2 hasn't even been released yet) and how Cassandra will play a big part in it and the FIRST thing to pop into my head was 'Crap, they're making this into the fantasy Mass Effect trilogy, aren't they?' simply for the fact of what her role is in DA2. She's LOOKING for Hawke.

Kinda makes you feel like Origins was just the cheap Beta of Dragon Age 2 if that is the case, no?

I could see how that would go lol

Hawke: I'm the only person who can stop the world from entering into the brink of war!
Warden: Yeah? well remember that blight you had to run away from? I stopped that by the time you got comfortable in Kirkwall. . . and I had sex with Isabela before you . . . in a four way!

Let's face it the Warden while bad ass, is just to many variables to account for. So it's highly likely any continuation of the story is going to be through Hawke from now on. I don't like it much either but there it is.

Your Warden stopped the 5th Blight.

He will be remembered just like all those other Wardens who stopped the Blights (Garehel, for example, who gave his live to sotp the 4th Blight).

That is, assuming you sacrificed yourself... but even then you led the Wardens, and will be remembered as the one who led the forces that defeated the 5th Blight.

I doubt you'll be overshadowed by anyone, just like Garehel was not overshadowed by you, or how you did not overshadow Emperor Drakon. Your Warden is just one more member in the pantheon of Thedas' Heroes.

Darkspawn aren't the only problem Thedas has to face. There's the Qunari invasion too. And Brother Genitivi said in his codex that apart from the darkspawn, the other feared people in Thedas are the qunari. So the Warden gained fame against the darkspawn, now it's Hawke's turn to gain fame against the qunari. Pretty soon in DA3, we'll have someone else's turn to achieve fame and glory against another dangerous foe. Let everyone have their turns.

I thought so too. However the more I think of Morrigan and Flemeth, I am left with the feeling that the story will continue with neither one. The Warden and Hawke and whoever is in DA3 are means to ends in the Flemeth show. They have huge impact on their worlds but they are only parts of a greater whole.

I may change my mind at the end of DA2 depending what happens then, but so far that's my theory. Also the Warden in my opinion is a bigger deal then Hawke, Hero of Ferelden beats out Champion of Kirkwall. But in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't matter.

What bugs me is that your a complete idiot. The Warden is the Hero of FERELDAN, KIRKWALL ISNT IN FERELDAN DIP****.

You know what else sucks about Hawke being the focus of DA now? Unanswered questions.

I know someone said this, but it peeves me that in a sense, we will NEVER figure out what happened to our Warden... with the sole exception if they... you know... died.

...Moving on. I'm talking about, what if they disappeared with Morrigan into the mirror? And all the endings in Awakening state that the Warden simply 'vanished' one day. There's obviously a lot of THEORIES to what happened, such as the Warden's Calling, adventures, etc.

There's also the thing of... people will hate me for this, but the 'God Baby'. Yes, I'm perfectly aware that the baby is just 'optional'. But c'mon... they couldn't have just thrown in that Morrigan wanted your baby with the spirit of an old God for nothing. I would've at least liked it explored if it did happen in your Warden's story.

As people have been saying we are playing in Kirkwall! Hawke story is there not the wardens. Though out the game you will over hear people talking about what the warden is doing, plus pretty much the warden finished what they had to do and is dead, hanging around somewhere, or disappered with Morrigan.

Heros are not important everywhere, have we heard of any of heros who are protecting Orlais...I think not

You read my mind. I hope they really stick to Thedas as main concept of Dragon Age.
There are other things trouble me, beside Hawke being the most important character in Thedas.
I fear the Song of Ice and Fire. But it's best not to mention it yet as I have no clue how it's going to be applied to Dragon Age.

It is my strong belief that none of that is going away. The Dark Ritual is canon, whether you did it or not Morrigan has a powerful child probably raised by goat herders in some far off mountain with no idea of their destiny... We know he's a he so he's probably not our PC in DA3, but I will bet my socks (they're comfy) that this is the setting for DA3. And I would not be surprised if they are hints to this in DA2, but we'll have to see.

Who knows, maybe at the end Hawke rides in on a flaming Griffon, kills all of the remaining archdemons with a guitar solo that causes the Maker himself to bow down in humble admiration, and impregnates every female in Kirkwall before making the Dark City his personal bachelor pad and resurrecting Andraste to pour his wine.

i completely agree with you, there must be something deeper than just that, probably we will hear for the baby again, maybe it will take the main character role in one of the sequences I mean.. it will make pretty good start - A hero with the soul of an old god, father gray warden and mother dark witch, will beat the crap out of hawke anytime. Also it will probably answer most of the questions we have, like about wtf happened after the mirror, but who knows..
