Remember that Hawke's "Rise to Power" takes many years. The Grey Warden adventures in Amaranthine and around the world (according your decisions) after defeating Archdemon. Your precious Warden doesn't hear about Hawke, or he is as notorious as the queen of Antiva (does she exists?) Hawke will be famous in Kirkwall, slowly , NOT IN ENTIRE WORLD IN 2 POINT FIVE MICROSECONDS!!!

I wish I see the changes made by my Warden in DA2. I hope I see or hear about my Warden dying bravely on the battlefield, getting hero's funeral, crowning king, buttkicking darkspawn and etc. (according to original plot decisions of course). That would be awesome.

I haven't killed any of my Wardens because I like them so much ;(

Or am I just a geek who passionately likes Morrigan's sex scenes?

Play DA2 first through then complain.

Who is to say hawke's legend makes killing a dragon and finding a pot look less important.

The Warden will get his/her honorable mentions, I'm sure. This is a different area of the world with a different character, they are grateful the Blight has been defeated but they have their own problems and their own champion to correct them.

I just hope they take this approach in DA3 and have a completly new character...and hopefully you can change his/her race...

The fact that the Warden is

1) An amorphous blob that could literally be any race/sex

2) Has no built-in personality

Pretty much ensures that you will never, ever see him/her again in a future DA game.

And as you look at the game, it gets even worse. I mean --

He is second-fiddle to Alistair, who is only a wimp because the game deems it so. ANYONE who has done the Alistair romance knows he is actually pretty badass. There are even a couple moments in the game where he makes decisions and gets things done like the Warden DOESN'T EVEN EXIST.

Don't believe me? Go to Lothering and threaten the revered mother to free Sten. If Alistair's in the party, and Leliana isn't, Alistair freaks out on you and goes RIGHT over your head, apologizes for your threat, and convinces the Revered Mother to release Sten. Which, incidentally, sounds and reads better than any dialogue option afforded you.

Bad DLC notwithstanding. He really doesn't need the Warden to save Ferelden.

What else? Gee, probably that the Warden and big hero of Ferelden is completely replacable by some nobody Orlesian Warden who is almost as badass, almost as powerful, and got uber items from the Empress of Orlais herself.

If you critically examine it, The Warden was always destined to be a nobody simply because of the way the game was designed. Save the world or not, we will never see them again.

I find this quite harsh, even more so than it should be.

Although I don't think we will be able to play as the Warden ever again, I'd like at least one scene where Hawke would bump into the Warden, even if they were to part ways shortly after.

Again, I'd rather get a new character over Hawke in DA:3...but my gut tells me they are sticking with Hawke.
