Here's the two screens I get, I also can't activate the game at all if I'm offline

This is the beginning, let's hope the end will not look like this:

"This application cannot be used after the official end of life date has been reached. Thank you for playing!"

Does anyone know what time the activation servers will allow me to play the game in the UK?
It's really annoying that I can't play the game if I receive it early, but if I can't play it on the day of release until they feel it's OK then that sucks. I hope it unlocks on midnight.
Especially considering I could get the Xbox360 version early and just play that.

I cannot play because the release date checker fails every time. We need a workaround for this, it is WELL past release date....

I didn't have any problems with the DRM. It was smooth, fast and easy. Thanks Bioware. Didn't appear to install anything on my machine either, went through registries and didn't notice anything "hidden".

my 2 cents.
i thought the DRM was annoyingly intrusive -- I worry indeed that many years later if I want to play, and the stupid servers don't exist anymore, that it will hang and never let me play.

OTOH I appreciate bioware coming clean and explaining how it technically works and how it uninstalls after it runs, and I appreciate that it cleanly did so.

I will note seeing "SONY" did not inspire me as they are known for shady rootkit tactics.

This application cannot be used until the official release date has been reached. Please wait until the official release date and restart the application at that time. Click CANCEL to abort the process.   Please visit the support website to get more information: https://support.securom.com/

Anyone can tell me what time it'll be released in Europe? It says 10 March 0:00, but is that GMT or is it local time?

I had my share of DRM scare when I first saw that ugly securom image. However, activation was nearly perfect except EA didn't recognized my serial key right away which by the way scared the living crap out of me because I have the signature edition. The fix was just adding the dashes on the serial key if you have the retail. Next time I'll but it on steam and just leave the hard copy on my library.

The activation is fast and you don't need the disk to play. You need to download your DLCs first and install them though and login to your bioware/ea account so authorize them.

Contrary to what is printed on the retail box which says "internet connection required" you can play the game without the internet provided you are still logged in and synchronized with the EA server when you disconnected, by the way do not logout in-game, doing this may disable your DLCs.

I got mine early due to EB games sending out an SMS one day early to come pick up my preorder and... boo, I can't play it yet coz of the date check. It says I can't play it until 00:00 tonight.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Sighs, then goes on a brutal game rage induced killing spree*

Haven't heard good things about this game, but the improved DRM scheme will push me to buy the game sooner than I thought :)

My 2 cents: Using SecuROM when promising not to is... suspicious. I thought Bioware convinced EA to ditch SecuROM for their games. Makes me hesitate to buy another Bioware game if they don't tell the truth about their DRM.
And of course I raged when it denied me playing a game I just rightfully bought.

If the Release-Date-Check would even work I would be happy. But playing the game on console I don´t even have the motivation to search for a fix.

I have requested an RMA for my Disk Version, as it has SecureROM DRM on it, and there is NO mention of this in the EULA. Very disapointed as we were told by Chris Priestly http://social.biowar...94280/1#6194280 that there was NO SecureROM. My Copy is going "back to sender". Fail work there Bioware/EA. EA is killing PC gaming faster than ANY pirate. I don't like being lied to.

IF I find any problems or evidence of the DRM scheme ****ing with my very expensive laptop, I will respectfully request that Chris Priestly (or a honorable representative of Bioware who is authorized to perform customer support) compensate me for the $4000 price tag of my Laptop.
