What about we make Swiftrunner a party member? either as a Human, or as a Werewolf? He could be a Dual Wield Warrior. There could also be a Dalish Party member, Lanya or whatever she's called, the keeper's apprentice.

I love the idea of swiftrunner as a party member. As a werewolf preferably *g* Entirely new playable class, the skills should be somewhere anyway. And you surely can add some skills from dog or shale.

Werewolfs don't need to be the ones tied to the dalish elf campaign part of the main story, the werewolf could be a mage or a person who had been possessed by a fade demon and then regained his mind however at the cost of losing his/her ability to become a human again and the lost of his/her magic.

But thats boring! Swiftrunner has a connection to the actual story and a rough history you could render more precisely. Thus it's far more interesting, in my opinion. Just some made-up default story, that doesn't have anything to do with the actual storyline is dull in my opinion.

And how would it make sense if you already "cured" the werewolves and swiftrunner is a werewolf again without any explaination ?

If you "side with the werewolves", they remain cursed.

That pretty obvious.

My point is if you ended the curse and do the quest to pick up swiftrunner werewolf form it would be illogical and we all know that DLCs don't follow the main quest storyline or rather they don't affect the main storyline.

Then Swiftrunner's human form would be the alternative companion, hm? Just speaking logically.

Personally, I don't care for a wolfie companion; seems too cliched. Next would be vampire companions, and then a whole ****ton of people will name their female mage Bella...

Swiftrunner's human form would beat the point of having a werewolf

I hate that damn twilight obsession, and having the option to have a vampire in the party would bring that obsession to Dragon Age, which nobody needs. That in mind though, being able to have a werewolf companion, or even make a werewolf character, would be awesome.

I think playing as a werewolf would be kinda cool, well it all depends on how its done. Though I think a new explanation would have to be thought up if you got rid of the curse, but otherwise would be a bit of fun.

witherfang's werewolves was only one pack.
the codex says there were multiple ones.

also, if they add vampires to dragon age, they at least better make them either completely evil, completely different from mythology, or make them a race of people who are like half bat half human (sorta like a werewolf, i know its not original, but it beats the hell out of having twilight fans getting into our fun RPG)

So this is what I've been thinking...And I've been thinking a lot. First off. Unrefined-Nemesis, you're not helping to find a solution mate, you're just being rude.

Secondly, this is what I've been thinking. A group of bandits is attacked the the wilds. One of their members (insert_name_here) is bitten but hides is from his fellows. The bandit group leaves the forest and (insert_name_here) is caught and caged while his transformation is taking place. Kept away from the 'lady of the forest' and sold to a group of blood mages for study, (insert_name_here) is driven mad with rage and hatred. Due to the tinkering done in him by the mages, when the 'lady of the forest' is Killed/layed to rest, (insert_name_here) does not change back into his human form permanently but instead loses his bloodlust, regains his power of thought and can (for short periods of time) morph back into his human form.

So here are my idea on the Werewolf class (that can be taught to the player by (insert_name_here).

First power- Transformation: Sustained. Uses the Blood Wave fx from Wardens keep along with the animation. This changes the form of the character into a werewolf. Player gains massive strength and dexterity but loses armour rating.

Second power- Feral Howl. Activated. Uses the wolfs howl animation and has the same effect as horror.

Third power- Feral regeneration. sustained. Character regains health for each kill but takes more damage.

Forth power- Overwhelm. Activated/targeted. Uses the werewolf overwhelm animation and effect.

So what do you think? I dont know how much is possible but I would love to here from someone who does!
