The demo consistantly crashes as soon as I push the Continue button on the character customization screen.  Super excited about the game but can't really get anywhere Any suggestions??

This happened to me too once. Did you hit continue right away, or did you take a look at the options(I know you can't actually change anything)?

am usin direct x 9 and all low settings just to see if I can get it goin and still stops.

I've also had this problem ... but after removing the vertical sync everything goes well

not sure what the vertical sync is... If you could elaborate that would be most appreciated.
And I tried both ways... looked around for a bit and just went straight to continue.  still having some problems.

I haven't tried it myself, but people in other threads have also reported switching off v-sync helps.

Go to the configuration utility from the start-up menu ("Configure"), select "Video". There untick the selection box labeled "Vertical Sync". Save settings and load.

found it and it worked! thanks much for the help. really appreciated. Playing through the demo has entirely solidified my decision to pre-order DA2. once again thank you
