ME3-Do you want to save the earth?

This is just from me if I was Shepard. I would know the reapers are coming and will target the earth. If I had a family I would have sent them a message in one way or form and give them funds to got to a location less likely to be attacked by reapers. For me i'd send them somewhere in the middle area, nice and secure but not close enough to the terminus systems to fear them becoming slaves.
Now, what is coming to my mind are the MANY "enjoyable" aspects of life that pop up even today. Disney getting sued over hot nachos, starbucks over hot coffee, 4 year old child being sued for being a 4 year old child. I am more than sure many of the members here has found "interesting" news clips of the way some people....you know what, not some but most people can be....manipulative, condescending...and other not to polite words I would use to describe them and their actions....and the game wants me to save them? To heck with it, it can be blown up for all I care as long as my family is safe on another system I could care less about saving Earth. So...Do I get the option to ignore Earth? I sure do hope so.
That is my 2 cents. It ain't pretty but not meant to be...and chances are someone will take offense to it.

We just have to take it to the Reapers.
So in other words, I won't completely ignore Earth, but my Shep's goal is to annihilate the Reapers at almost any cost.

If the entire ME trilogy culminates into a single planet being assaulted and requires the entire ME3 to save it...I will be hugely, vastly disappointed...and probably leave Earth the burn in spite by that stage.

You sound like you'd rather join the reapers as long as they'd agree to spare you and your family. I don't think Mass Effect is that kind of game.

Why would the game be all about that?
It's probably in the end of the game you need to go to Earth and help...
But i think that you can go to Earth earlier before the attack starts, that would be awesome

So basically you are saying, "most people are jerks, so I'd prefer humanity goes extinct"?

It's why Shepard is the hero and not us. Most of us are self-absorbed nitwits. If the Reapers actually came, we'd wet our pants and throw the whole world under the bus if it meant saving ourselves.

I hope you're right and I am wrong...
That EA release didn't get my hopes up...the one that said about uniting the races to launch one final mission to take back Earth...Don't get me wrong - I don't mind if its the end game after fighting the Reapers all over the galaxy etc..but if the entire game is based around collecting alien fleets to save Earth....I think they'll be throwing away a massive opportunity to create one of the most epic finales of all time.

But in Mass Effect 2, the entire game was based on collecting alien fleets to stop the Collectors, i hope they won't do that again.. I rather doubt that
