I'm to the point with Gather the Army where I need to return to Redcliffe and talk to Arl Eamon.  The problem is... he's not there...  Now for some back story.  I suffered the same bug with Ban Teagon earlier and used the in game fix of putting my camera in tactical view and right clicking on the Arl to heal him with the sacred ashes.  The following cut scene was altered I hear and now I'm upset to find that as a result I can't unlock the Champion specialty for my Warrior... All of that aside the Arl is no where to be found in Redcliffe or Redcliffe Castle now that I'm ready for the Landsmeet.

Help!!!

Can someone at least tell me what room of Redcliffe Castle he's supposed to be in? I mean I've checked everywhere, but it would be nice to know where I'm supposed to see him.

****Spoiler alert***

I've collected the reward from Brother Genitivi and slain the Andraste Dragon to see if that would trigger him to show up but he's still not there...

Well I restarted my game even though I was 41 hours in... I'll avoid the plot line that caused Ban Teagan to disappear the first time and cross my fingers that the Arl won't be gone again... /sigh.

Okay I really need help from someone. I actually restarted my game. This time I did the circle of mages, the dalish, and the urn before encountering Connor. I appear in the room, if I talk to Isolde or Teagan they replay the scene from before entering the windmill but it's under the castle floor... Also when I go to get the help of the First Enchanter he is no where to be found when I return to Redcliffe Castle, it's like the stage doesn't reload after the demon makes you fight Teagan. Once the CS is over he's still dead on the ground...

I've had this same problem for about 6 months. Bioware doesn't seem to want to give support on this issue.

Try to perform the quests in this order after Lothering: Circle Tower, Redcliffe (village then castle), Brecilian Forest then Haven.

I don't see how order has anything to do with this issue. I've played up through the Gather the Army point of the game countless times using different orders of quest completion and never run into this bug. I have, however, NOT updated to 1.03 or 1.04 specifically for this reason. I find it highly likely that if you stick to 1.02a you will not run into this bug. If you are running 1.03 or 1.04 you are essentially running a broken build of the game and will have no recourse for support. All support requests will be directed to help.dragonage.com (EA). All reports of this issue have gone unanswered and unaddressed by Bioware.

Thta's your pov. For me, patch 1.04 is running perfectly fine.

JackM, you really aren't helping anyone by posting here. Restarting a game that takes 20 hours to complete within hours of the ending so we can try an entirely new order of doing quests is insanity. Dismissing Kastagir's post (which is actually useful btw, unlike your's) is unhelpful.

I gave you the path of quests I followed in my playthrough with patch 1.04. During this playthrough, I had no issue. This is simply an advice that may help you. Concerning this order, you may find useful information here.

Concerning Kastagir, I only made a remark concerning patch 1.04. This patch does not cause issues for everyone as he seems to believe.

People have lives you know ... replaying the entire game isn't a viable solution to a bug. If I buy a game, I expect it to work the first time I play it.  Your post isn't helpful to anyone.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies, turns out it was an install issue. I had the hot fix originally designed to fix other associated issues. Being in the overwrite folder it locked that zone in whichever state it was in after my first zoning. After removing it, it works just fine.
