Secondly, update your DirectX to the most recent one and also update your graphicscard-driver.../../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png
Thirdly,
Configure the demo first, in the start-pop-up, choose "configure",
Disable v-sync, run on medium graphics setting, choose any
AA(Anti-aliasing) you want because it hasn´t been a problem for me in
any of my 8 playthroughs.
-This
demo is designed to run on medium settings, nothing else. If you want
the real deal, wait until the game is released with ALL the "bells and
whistles"(AKA higher settings). And for the love of GOD, play only with
DX9, not DX11. DX11 is not working in this demo.
hope it helps someone........./../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png

DX9 crashed for me every single time at or before the Aveline meeting. I had to play with DX11, log me in unticked, and vSync off. Only way I could get through it.
Have you updated DirectX to the latest release? And your graphics driver ? Other than that you should check your graphics card settings(in the graphics cards software) so that your card aren´t overriding the DA2´s configured settings.
Try those and good luck.

Yes and yes. And by playing with DX11 on High everything went fine for me.
Still, nice thread OP. I'm sure it'll help many.

Yeah, those settings will do nothing to slay the deadly PhysX error I have ---> http://social.biowar...4/index/6150178
Try uninstalling the PhysX, and then try the demo. You can always add it later.

"The PC demo has known performance and stability issues with DirectX 11. These have been fixed in the final game.
We recommend that all users disable DirectX 11 while playing the demo, including those with high-end machines."

You can also try XP compatibility mode and see if that helps.

I managed to freeze and crash the demo a couple of times by being to fast on the ESC-button during the conversations ingame. Just FYI.
