Seriously, though, it depends on what the character looks like and the build/personality I want to play. Will not go for Garrett since it sounds too modern and so want a more medieval/fantasy name. Marian is okay, but I must dare to be different! In the demo, I called him Ethan just for fun. :-D

in origins i named most of my characters after animals but i'm not sure i will do that after my first character ,Drago Hawke, in DA2 since the main character has the last name Hawke. guess i'll just think of a new way to name my characters.

Maybe. . . Marsser? My imagination fails me when it comes to names. I get to the part where you name your character and I might try to think of something for 1 minute or so, but I always end up settling with my actual name.

The weird thing is, I was originally going to call my Hawke Mina (because I love that name), but then I changed my mind thinking  "Oh it would be cool to give my Hawke a name that means protector", only to find out that Mina does mean protector in Dutch. I guess I get the best of both worlds.

Good name.  I called my Tabris Warden Mina.

I often choose names just because I like the sound of them atlhough I'll occasionally check the meaning.  I'm going to  play as a mage and a rogue, probably the latter first time.  The mage will be Gwendolyn, the rogue Sophia or Sophie.  Whether the latter is wise or not, I'll just have to see.
