Which still gave me the highest DPS in the party (Varric comes close, but not quite) even though I put a lot of points into Cunning rather than Dexterity.vagrantwanderer wrote...

rogues cannot seem to take out bosses directly (at least not with the crappy daggers it gave us).
Seriously, Mages obliterate the Ogre, Warriors go toe to toe with the Ogre, but Rogues toy with the Ogre for their amusement. I was a bit sorry when the Ogre died - I was having so much fun!
I guess the only thing I do that most Rogue players don't do is that I run past enemies a lot. Sometimes a whole group of enemies would charge at you, but you can just run past them with a little bit of micro. By the time any of them turned around, you've already killed the one at the back and your Warriors have already engaged their front - which allows you to box them in so that your Mage can nuke them. Never fails.
VS. the Ogre, you don't even need Backstab (I get Improved Formula instead). You can just run around him without pausing because he only runs in long straight lines.
The thing I had most trouble with as a DW Rogue is those groups of Archers/Bolters. It gets really hairy if more than three of them are clumped together - they will always engage your Rogue first because you have the highest DPS, and by the time you close in you're half dead. I haven't found a good way to kill them except letting Aveline run in first Taunting. Perhaps Stealth will help in the full game.
