Is there some way to turn off auto-aim? It is driving me insane. Trying to line up headshots while your aim wanders left and right is pumping rage into me like there's no tomorrow.
How to turn off auto-aim?

What auto aim? I've played this game 4x and never once has the game auto aimed for me. Maybe something is wrong with your analog stick because there is no aim assist/auto aim in ME2.

its not COD noob style auto aim, the auto aim in ME is pretty much the same all console shooters have where the game "pulls" you towards the nearest target but very little and only if you are close to the target already, its actually "aim assist" and not "auto aim" and no i dont think it can be turned off.

i play on insanity and there "is" auto aim some time.
When there are enemy near an explosive barrell, i am never alloud to aim the barrell as the aim automatically goes to an enemy. (when i am hidden and press L1 to aim, the cross point's automatically an enemy's body also if i want to shoot the explosives).
And that's for me is called "auto aim".
but i had this ONLY when there are explosives around and only when i am hidden and press L1 to aim. In other cases i aim where i want to aim.

it's only noticeable when you're using a sniper, but yea i agree it's annoying when you're trying to center the sniper scope on someone's head, but the game is pulling towards somewhere you dont want it to.

It a lot weaker than the other versions of ME2.

If memory serves me correctly ME1 had the ability to toggle off aim assist including ME2 on the 360. I really have no idea why that wasn't here on the PS3.

If it's not annoying then how is it ruining your experience?
Again, I don't know about any auto aiming. The crosshairs always go where I want them to and never do anything on their own.

they do, you just havent noticed but the game is helping you aim. Most console shooters have this.
