Bioware, what are you doing? You are murdering my childhood and your own legacy by creating this abomination! Dragon Age 2 is just Grand Theft Auto in Thedas! Anyone who disagrees with me is a mentally retarded and spastic child because that's obviously who Bioware is designing this game for. Ewww, MASS EFFECT! Commoners, keep them away! I guess this is the end of real role playing games . . .
Please stop. This solves nothing except the fulfillment of your desire to rant. If you have a technical problem with the game, or a suggestion, or some constructive criticism, please provide it, we would all love to hear it! Just try to put as much thought into your posts as you did into your cannon play-through of DA:O.
Respectfully yours,
J

You might think if they hated it they would move on , but no , even months later they are on the forums telling everyone they shouldnt enjoy the game as its the worst game ever . Maybe they look back later in life and think " my god i wasted 20 hours or more of my life telling people to stop having fun" , i doubt it though .

You can express an opinion without being stupidly rude about it, and thats what i think he means. Expressing a contrary opinion is fine. Calling someone a fanboi/idiot/sheep for liking something though discredits any argument one can make.
Also, putting HEIL also discredited your points. No one likes random Hitler name throwing

It's not having a different opinion, it's how that opinion is expressed. You (not necessarily you personally. Anone in general) may have the opinion that DAII is not the game for you. That's fine. Saying that people who do think they might like it are either retarded, or have an attention deficit disorder (possibly both) is insulting, however, and makes you look like an arse, more than anything.
It also kills any good argument you might've had.

Simple: Because they don't think it will be a deep, immersive experience. Most accounts anyone has read about the game at this point are probably marketing by EA or Bioware, obviously those are not going to say "Yeah, we're making a shallow game here, folks!". You're interpreting what we know about the game differently than the people you're adressing here, so obviously you have different reactions. And of course, everyone thinks they're right - including you, considering that you question how anyone could even see DA II as anything but deep and immersive.Wolvenrunner wrote...
I question why people that claim to enjoy deep, immersive experiences with a lot of thought put into every action then go on to not only criticize the direction of a what is (from all the accounts I've read) a deep, immersive experience
Of course, I agree that the critics need far better arguments than "It's stupid and if you like this stupid thing then you're stupid as well". But you're bound to encounter weak arguments just as likely as strong ones when an opinion is held by a large and varied group of people, which is almost always the case in an internet forum.

Quite a similar date to yours. I'm a proud owner of Neverwinter Nights, and Knights of the Old Republic. I also enjoy other more traditional role playing games such as those made by certain indie developers. I'm also a huge fan of Mass Effect, and greatly enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins. I simply made this post because I was a little surprised at the amount of vitriol sprouted by this game's detractors (it hasn't even come out . . . >.> ) not only at the yet to be released game, but at anyone who says anything positive about it. What is this, the WoW class forums?
