So I'm running an infiltrator on insanity difficulty. Haven't had ANY problems up until this mission. I'm at the final part of the map where you encounter the Colossus. I'm having trouble getting through it.

I've got Garrus with me for overload, and Zaeed for squad disruptor (my disruptor is only level 2).

Anyone have any tips? I'm getting my ass handed to me every time.

Try going to your right, to the top of the Catwalk? I think it's called, just be careful about the Sun and you should be able to methodically advance on the Geth towards the Colossus and then you will have the high ground on it.

When you are to the right of the Colossus, in the shade of the building, order the squad to hold there to draw fire from it and to hold the Geth from advancing up the stairs that you just passed that go towards the middle of the room.

You might have to use unity once or twice depending on how Garrus and Zaeed follow you, but once you at that back corner of the room there overlooking the Colossus, the fight is simply a matter of time at that point.

I can try to go into more detail, if I'm not clear.

Alright, I'll try that. I've been going left at that part every single time I've played the game and didn't have problems, but I'll try this out and see if it works.

Thanks.

Oh yeah, the left side is killer, near the end there, since the Geth can close on top of you and the cover is too small.

I died there a bunch too. Let us know how it goes.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Yeah, I noticed. With a soldier it was no issue on insanity, but it's impossible with my infiltrator.

That worked and it was almost effortless. Thank you for the help.

Be a man and go on the left side... with an Arc Projector.

That was my strategy on hardcore and below and an insanity soldier. Didn't work with my infiltrator.

Hmm. Strange. I have always gone left, including my two Insanity Infiltrators. Just use your smg and just gradually move forward. Once I got up the ramp, I shot the Colossus from behind the cover until some Geth charged me, then I'd use Cloak and retreat for a bit. Rinse and Repeat.

Get the M920-Cain. Now that's powuh.

Anyhow, I always hang right on the catwalk, SLOWLY advancing right after the Collossus blast hits a rail. Pick off only one enemy at a time btw. The Collossus doesn't repair itself once you get off the platform onto the one level with it.

What level is your AI Hacking?  I went through it recently with the same squad and my Shepard had rank 3 AI Hacking alonside side Assassination Cloak/passive.  Always use AI Hacking.  Constantly retarget to the Geth with the most health.  Headshots with Zaeed's SD Ammo should still kill without Cloak, and you should be killing in between during those AI Hacking cooldowns while your foes systematically destroy each other.  Hell sometimes I follow whichever Hacked Geth I've targeted at the moment, using them as mobile cover.  When you're ready to press to higher ground, and don't hesitate to switch to the Shuriken, Cloak and run.  Once there, kill any immediate threats, Hack... snipe... snipe... repeat.

I guess I was getting too impatient then. I charged up on the left, shot some stuff and shot some more, then got bumrushed. But going right was the right way to go.

I had level 3 cloak, level four passive and no AI hacking. But I'll keep that in mind for the next time I go through with an infiltrator. I'm not a big fan of the ability and I've never used it or ever saw the need to. I love to snipe using the assassination cloak, so generally I don't use abilities with infiltrators.

I dont respec my characters very often (maybe its an oldschool RPG thing, in a time when games wouldnt let you?), but if you're playing Infiltrator having AI Hacking on Legions LM, and Tali's RM/LM is something WORTH respecing for.

Simbacca gives pretty much the best advice, and a REALLY neat trick is using the hacked geth as a shield like he said. I thought that was one of the coolest things I'd seen from any youtube video.

I used to go up the left route all the time my first 3-4 playthroughs, but when I played Infiltrator and had taken the shotgun training, I was really curious how I would approach (especially since it was my first playthrough on insanity), and I read someone mention going up the right, which I NEVER did because of the whole sun on shields thing. For some reason I was stupid enough to think that your shields wouldnt regen when you took cover along the guard rail... lets just say ever since I did that the 1st time, I've never gone another route since.

Taking the sniper perch on the right is basically like cutting the difficulty of that final fight in half. In fact, thinking about it now, I kind of laugh at how crazy some of the battles were going left/middle and how frustrated I got all because I had a completely incorrect idea of what going right would be like.

It is a bit nuts how easy that side is. I picked it purely blindly the first time I did this mission and couldn't figure out why people were having problems with it, until I tried the other two routes.

The Arc Projector does essentially solve this entire situaton for you though, regardless of route. It's brutal.

+1 This is generally the favored route most people take... However, even though it provides the most cover, don't be tempted to rush your advance. The sun and the spacing of the cover could cause problems if you time the Colossus shot wrong, or get too shot up by the regular Geth.

The worst thing is that stupid Power Cell sitting right beside the nearest cover, which prevents you from ducking behind the crate until after you pick it up. That can kill you if you're not careful about it.

I had trouble with this too.

Do you have loaded heavy weapons?

IF poss wipe out as many ground geth as poss... then unleash heavy hell on the collossus.

Though that might not work... i had immense trouble as a vanguard on hardcore lol... umlimited geth and i had to retreat back twice.

Geth are easy. Energy Drain bonus power will make you (almost) invincible. AI Hacking is awesome, no need to do anything really (besides hacking) - the Geth will self destruct: Geth Gladiatori

The key power there is AI Hacking. You even get some Geth Destroyers, which do an awesome amount of damage to their buddies.

One hacked Geth Destroyer = 5 squad mates.

Wow, thanks for that vid, Bozorg. I already got through the mission but I'll definitely make sure I have AI hacking for Tali's LM.

Very true, but I've done that mission as a Soldier, Vanguard and Sentinel without Legion, so no access to that power.

+1 for Energy Drain it trivialises all Geth missions
